Bonfim Loss: UFC Sao Paulo

Gabriel was regarded as an unbeaten force in the professional MMA industry before the previous UFC event in Sao Paulo, where he had a perfect record of 15 victories and 0 losses as of November 4. The story took an unexpected turn, however, when Nicolas Dalby mounted a spectacular comeback, defeating the seemingly invincible Bonfim by TKO in the second round.

Gabriel’s first professional setback sent shockwaves through his devoted fan base. Following the game, a displeased crowd of Bonfim followers expressed disbelief at their unbeaten hero’s demise. Dalby responded to the angered supporters by saying that Gabriel’s abilities had been overstated.

He acknowledged Gabriel’s talent but maintained that he had not yet been adequately tested. According to Dalby, his knowledge was crucial in attaining victory. While he recognized Gabriel’s admiration for Bonfim’s abilities, he believed there was more for Gabriel to learn, citing his study of some Bonfim’s battles before their meeting.

The aftermath of the event produced a wide spectrum of reactions. Some supporters dismissed it as a game, while others were baffled. Gabriel’s perfect record was revised from 15 wins and 0 losses to 15 wins and one loss, showing a significant shift in his career direction.
