Maia Campbell is a model and actress known for her roles in films and television. Her job has drawn a lot of attention, and everyone wants to know about her life, from her spouse and daughter to her family.

Husband and Daughter of Maia Campbell

Campbell was formerly married to former spouse Elias Gutierrez, whom she married in 1998. They welcomed their daughter Elizabeth Elisha Gutierrez in 2000.

Heavy claims that she lost custody of her kid to her husband a year after she was born because she refused to seek treatment for her bipolar disorder. Since then, her daughter has been raised by her father.

She is, nevertheless, improving. Her stepfather, Ellis Gordon Jr., indicated that she is in a rehab facility and receiving family assistance.

“As a family, we’ve been dealing with Maia’s condition for quite some time,” he explained.

“We continue to hold to our faith and hope that one day she will recognize that healing begins when she decides to reach out and accept the support and treatment that has been offered to her,” he added.

Campbell appeared on ‘Iyanla: Fix My Life’ alongside her stepfather, daughter, and ex-husband. The actress demonstrated her desire to improve by spending quality time with her loved ones.

Elizabeth (also known as “Elisha”) was living with her father when she appeared on the same episode of ‘Iyanla: Fix My Life.’

“Maia hopes to reclaim custody of her daughter one day,” Iyanla explained, “but first she must focus on mending their shattered relationship.”

“I want you to know that I love you and that none of this is your fault and you’re the reason I’m trying to get better… No matter where I am, I’m always a phone call away, in some way or another I’ll always be here for you,” Maia said Elisha when she had the chance.

But it wasn’t the end of Maia. According to a few accounts, the actress was in issue with authorities once more in 2015. She was arrested for unruly conduct and handcuffed as she was led out of the restaurant.

In 2017, a video of him asking for narcotics at a nearby petrol station appeared on the internet once more. Campbell, on the other hand, has disputed the allegations and claims to be in good health.

She is no longer engaged in the media. She hasn’t had any recent jobs, so maybe she’s getting the support she needs from professionals for her health and drug addiction therapy.

Her most recent film appearance was in Doctor Imposter in 2017. She has remained silent since then, but fans have missed seeing her on stage. There haven’t been any new updates about her love life either, so she could be recovering from it all right now.

Her most well-known roles were in the television shows ‘In the House’ and ‘South Central.’
