The former NBA champion Larry Bird and his ex-wife Janet Condra are the parents of Corrie Bird. The eldest of Larry’s three children from his two marriages is Corrie. Despite being the offspring of a professional basketball legend, Corrie struggled for years to win her father’s approval.

She had to wait a long time before she and Larry could have a typical father-daughter connection. Understand the causes of such a relationship. Additionally, scroll through all of Corrie’s ongoing activities, including both her personal and professional hobbies.

Her Height and Education

Larry Bird, Janet, and Corrie Bird’s parents were close friends for a long time. Corrie Bird’s father, Larry, accepted her as his daughter despite not realizing Corrie was his daughter. Corrie Bird and her father, Larry, reconciled in the future.

Corrie, the only biological child of Larry and his former wife Janet Condra, is not an adopted child; instead, Connor Bird and Mariah are the two adoptive children of the two-time MVP.

The 45-year-old Bird was born on August 14, 1977. She earned her diploma from Brazil, Indiana’s Northview High School in 1995.

Corrie had grown to a height of 5 feet 10 inches even before she finished high school. She was a standout athlete and went to Indiana State University. She studied elementary education there as well.

Just after enrolling at Indiana State, her father, Bird, got married to her mother, Janet Condra. The mother of Corrie once underwent disc surgery and worked as a mail carrier.

She had known Mr. Bird since they were kids. However, the pair got a divorce in 1976. Condra became pregnant during a quick (and unsuccessful) reconciliation, and she gave birth to Corrie.

However, when a paternity test was requested by AD Bird’s counsel, Corrie was already a toddler when the test results revealed she was, in fact, Larry’s child. She hadn’t spent much time with her father.

However, Larry had a relationship with Dinah and had long since shunned his daughter’s life. The former power player later admitted that he still regrets leaving his daughter behind. Through the years, Dinah had pushed him to get in touch with Corrie and try to build a relationship with her.

Janet wed Mike Deakins after divorcing the former NBA player. Corrie kept in touch with her mother Janet and stepfather Deakins after graduating from high school.
