Let’s Get to Know Griffin’s Parents’ Love Story

In July 1993, Fraser met his future wife Afton at a BBQ party hosted by their mutual friend Winona Ryder in Los Angeles. There was an instant bond between the two. Soon after their meeting, the two began spending time together. They later became close colleagues, and then girlfriend and boyfriend.

Fraser proposed to his girlfriend in October 1997 after they had been dating for around four years. They quickly decided to take their love to the next level by getting married. Brendan and Afton were married on September 27th, 1998. The couple walked down the aisle in a prestigious wedding ceremony held at the Bel Air Hotel in Los Angeles.

Within about eight years of their marriage, the couple had three kids. However, a year after the birth of their youngest son, it was announced that the couple had decided to divorce.

According to tabloids, they split because of Brandon’s rumored affair with fellow actress Mario Bello. Rumors about their secret romance began to circulate when they were filming a movie in China.

The ex-couple was granted joint custody of their children. Their sons, however, spent the majority of their childhood in Greenwich, Connecticut, with their mother Smith.

In retaliation, Brendan’s ex-wife accused him of concealing millions of dollars. Later, the court found no strong evidence to support Afton’s accusations. His alimony was lowered as a result.
