Lionel Messi’s mother is football icon Celia Maria Cuccittini.

Net value

Celia’s net worth as of November 2022 is undetermined. She contributes to Messi’s huge net worth as a loving mother to her son, who adores her to the core.

Messi’s record-breaking sixth Ballon d’Or victory in 2019 completely shocked Celia and her entire family. They predicted him to place fifth, while Messi thought Virgil Van Dijk would take home the victory. At the time, they had no idea of it. She asserts that they have never ceased to be amazed by her son’s vocation.

His son’s career is under the control of her husband. He worked in the steel sector before becoming an agent, and Celia worked at a factory that made magnets. Messi claimed that they went above and beyond to satisfy his needs.

Three of Celia’s four children are boys. Lionel, Rodrigo, and Matias Messi are her three sons. Her only kid is Maria Sol Messi, her youngest daughter.

Her famous son Lionel is wed to Antonella Roccuzzo, the woman he first fell in love with. Thiago Messi Roccuzzo, Mateo Messi Roccuzzo, and Ciro Messi Roccuzzo are three adorably cute kids who belong to Leo and Antonella.

As the brand manager of The Messi Shop, Maria is currently employed in the fashion industry. Ansu Fati, the left winger for Barcelona, receives advice from her son Rodrigo.

Her second son, Matias, has had several managerial roles. Two of her boys have children and are blissfully wed to their childhood sweethearts. Her daughter is dating Tuli Arellano, who is also her daughter’s boyfriend.

When Celia’s son Lionel was diagnosed with growth hormone deficiency at age ten, the family’s finances suffered for a while. His medication started at twelve when his leg received a nightly injection. Both of them were having trouble finding work, and the essential medical therapy cost $1000 a month to pay for.

The therapy was initially funded by the club Newell’s Old Boys, but it was later stopped. Subsequently, Messi was acquired by FC Barcelona, who also promised to cover his medical bills. Although Jorge Messi and Messi traveled to Catalonia for the successful therapy, Celia stayed in Rosario with her three kids. They are currently enjoying Messi’s accomplished career.

When Celia defied Argentian tradition and wore white at her son Lionel’s wedding, it caused controversy. The two families couldn’t speak, therefore it was said that they had to reserve separate floors at the best hotel in Rosario. Yet it was obvious that things weren’t right between them when they broke tradition and dressed in white like the bride.
