Hernandez started working there in 2017 after graduating from Saint Peters University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Her two children go to the same school.

Hernandez immigrated to the US at the age of five and listed the Dominican Republic as her country of origin on her fundraising website. Through her page, around $7,000 has been raised. Hernandez was known as a teacher who developed close relationships with her students and other teachers; in an interview with ABC NewYork, Schundler said Hernandez’s demise had “utterly ruined” the area.

The Jersey City Times reports that as news of Hernandez’s murder spread, Schundler had just finished speaking to the Jersey City Planning Board about the possibility of expanding his school. Investigations concerning Luz’s death are being done to rule out murder. Hernandez’s death’s cause has not been made public by the regional medical examiner’s office.

Did Luz Hernandez Have a Husband?

Junior Santana and Luz were wed, but they divorced in November, only months before Luz passed away. Sadly, not much information was discovered regarding Luz Hernandez’s husband. Even though it looks that Luz Hernandez’s husband went to church on Sunday with the family, it is now unclear where he is.

After the couple separated in November, Luz Hernandez’s Husband allegedly remained to live with them and would constantly provide reasons as to why he couldn’t leave, according to the sister of the deceased teacher.

Hernandez also regularly confessed to her relatives that she thought she may be in bodily danger, according to her sister, who spoke of the tumultuous marriage.

On a GoFundMe page established for Hernandez’s kids, a member of her family alleged that Hernandez had been the victim of domestic abuse. Sadly, after researching this piece, very little was discovered regarding Luz Hernandez’s husband.

Who is the kindergarten teacher’s killer? Suspect is detained

About the investigation into the passing of 33-year-old New Jersey teacher Luz Hernandez, an arrest was made. Regarding the suspect’s name or connection to Hernandez, the police have not disclosed any other information.

On Tuesday, Hernandez’s bones were discovered in a small burial area close to Kearny. She suffered compressions to her neck and blunt force damage to the head on Thursday, according to an autopsy.

Hernandez works at the Beloved Community Charter School. On Thursday morning, it was reopened, but the kids’ loss is terrible. Her death has been met with an outpouring of sadness; the mother of three vanished over the weekend and failed to show up for work on Monday.

Authorities found evidence of a crime having been committed when they went to her house close to the school. The mother of three was characterized by neighbors as kind and the mother of three beautiful children. To express their sadness and sympathy, friends and relatives assemble at a makeshift tribute outside her home.
