The well-known Australian actor Hugh Jackman and his spouse Deborra-Lee Furness are the parents of Ava Eliot Jackman.

Ava’s parents are well-known Hollywood actors; her father, Hugh Jackman, is well-known for his roles in films such as X-Men, Logan, and The Wolverine. However, her mother Deborra became extremely well-known through roles in movies such as Standing Room Only, Correli, and Shame.

In addition, the X-Men actor and his spouse have not disclosed Ava Eliot Jackman’s biological parents.

Her Brother Is Older

Hugh and Deborra Jackman have one child, Ava Eliot Jackman. Oscar Jackman is her elder brother. Oscar is her senior by five years. Oscar was born on May 15, 2000, and was soon adopted by the actor-duo. Hugh Jackman is said to have been criticized by Oscar’s birth mother, Amber Sanders, for not keeping her informed about her son’s progress.

Like Ava, Oscar is multiethnic. Oscar, Jackman’s first child, is African-American, Caucasian, Cherokee, and Hawaiian, he revealed to Oprah.

Ava at her high school

We do know that Ava Eliot is a high school student even if not much about her is available to the public. Oscar, her older brother, received his high school diploma in 2019.

In April 2019, the actor from Wolverine stated in an interview with People that his daughter would be starting high school, while his son would be graduating from high school. Sadly, Jackman withheld the name of the school his kids attend.

Her Parents Face Adversity Due To Miscarriages

As we previously stated, during the first several years of their marriage, Ava Eliot’s parents experienced a few miscarriages. It was only after two miscarriages that the couple decided to adopt, but adoption was always a possibility for the X-Men star.

Hugh Jackman discussed his and his wife Deborra’s path to becoming parents to two adopted daughters, Ava Eliot and Oscar, in an interview with People editor-in-chief Jess Cagle. The actor, 54, stated,

We immediately began [trying] when we were together due to her age. We suffered, had a few miscarriages, and found that IVF was difficult. It was undoubtedly challenging, especially for Deb.

“I remember saying to her, ‘We were always going to adopt, let’s just adopt now,'” AD Jackman added in his memory.

Link Between Ava Eliot Jackman’s Parents

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee, the parents of Ava Eliot, have perhaps one of the most successful couples in Hollywood. The couple, who were married on April 11, 1996, have been together for more than 25 years despite having a big age difference of 13 years.

Speaking of their first encounter, the Australian actors explained that it happened when they costarred on the 1995 Australian TV show Corelli. Hugh told People’s Jess Cagle of his first encounter with Deborra, “Deb, she was a big star.” He continued,

Deb is in the front seat of the car when I am picked up. I will always remember. ‘Hello, I’m Deborra-lee Furness, lovely to meet you,’ she added, removing her sunglasses and turning around to remove her seatbelt. I recall thinking, ‘This chick seems like fun.’

About two months after their initial meeting, Hugh extended an invitation to about twenty people for supper. Hugh told Deborra how he felt while they were alone together.

He remembered,

“I told you that I was crushing on you. I apologize, but I’ll get over it. “Oh!” exclaims her. since I also have a thing for you. Never in a million years did I think she would return the favor.

Deborra-Lee began to have second thoughts about the relationship, and soon after, the pair reached their lowest point. Nevertheless, she eventually became attracted to Hugh’s charisma and they began dating. The rest is history, as they say.

The bond between Ava and her parents

As everyone knows, actors have extremely demanding work schedules that leave them with little time for relationships and kids. However, does Hugh Jackman and Deborra have time for Ava Eliot, their teenage daughter? What is the state of Ava’s parent-child relationship?

The situation is rather similar to that of Mr. and Mrs. Jackman and their daughter, although the Australian actors make an effort to spend time with their children. The actor and his wife have been pictured numerous times spending quality time with their kids, despite not posting pictures of the kids on social media.

Ava Eliot Jackman was spotted strolling their pet dogs with her father back in September 2020. The father-daughter team strolled their two dogs around New York City while donning face masks for protection.

In the meantime, Ava and Deborra-Lee, her mother, get along rather well. In 2020, the Australian actress discussed her experience as a multi-ethnic child’s parent. At the time, she acknowledged that her children’s ancestry is distinct from her own, but she also said that her mother had inspired many of her parenting techniques.

Furthermore, Deborra mentioned that she had always encouraged her kids to be proud of their background. In order for their daughter Ava to accept her heritage, the family of four set off for Mexico.

Ava Eliot Jackman’s residence is where? Her Parents Are Multimillionaires And Own Several Properties

The 17-year-old daughter of Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness, Ava Eliot Jackman, resides in their Hamptons home at the moment. Additionally, Jackman and Furness possess a property in New York City that they paid an astounding $21 million for.

In the past, Hugh and Furness had a stunning home in Melbourne, Australia. In 1997, they paid $240,000 for the house, which they later sold for $740,000 in 2015.
