Debbie Osmond and Donny Osmond have been wed for more than 40 years. When Debbie was 15 years old, she first met Osmond. She dated his brother Jay, who was older before they started dating.

On May 8, 1978, in the Salt Lake Utah Temple, Osmond wed his muse after “three entire years of trying to win her heart and persuade her to marry” him. Osmond confessed to Utah Valley 360 in 2016 that the treasure hunt he planned in 1976 was the first step in gaining her heart.

Donny Osmond and His Wife’s First Kiss

Osmond had a grand plan for their first kiss because Debbie was being coy. She was driven to Sundance Mountain Resort for dinner when he arrived in a limo. After dinner, he took her on a treasure hunt to find gifts.

She started the investigation by looking under each restaurant seat individually. She eventually had to halt at a McDonald’s and a phone booth.

Each location had a clue, and she eventually found herself in front of Osmond for the final piece of information. She would get her final cue if she kissed Osmond, according to the clue.

And I’ll tell you, there were fireworks! As he recalled their first kiss, Osmond said. Osmond told her that her gifts had been on her bed the entire time after she kissed him.

A picture of the two of them from Sundance was in a frame when the couple went back to her room, and their romantic relationship had blossomed.

According to Osmond, the picture depicted that evening and the beginning of their romance. On her 57th birthday in 2016, 40 years after the original picture was taken, he and his wife even had a copy made.

With his wife, Donny Osmond has five kids

Donald Clark was born on July 31, 1979, and the pair got married in May 1978. On June 8, 1981, Debbie gave birth to Jeremy James, adding to their family.

Over the course of the next four years, Osmond and Debbie gave birth to three more boys: Brandon Michael (born January 29, 1985), Christopher Glenn (born December 12, 1990), and Joshua Davis (born February 16, 1998). Despite the singer’s fame, the pair shielded their kids from the spotlight.

She explained their justification to Utah Valley 360 when they spoke. “We’ve made the decision to separate Donny’s work from our family life. We didn’t want our kids to grow up in the entertainment industry in Hollywood.

The Osmonds’ offspring have started their own households. He made his debut appearance as a grandparent on August 21, 2005, when Dylan was born to his son Jeremy and his wife Melissa.

Since then, Osmond has had a lot more grandchildren—12 to be exact. The musician has frequently shown his affection for his family and gushed about his grandchildren.
