Brandon Hatmaker and his wife, Jen Hatmaker, made headlines when they announced their divorce on social media. Jen’s Instagram post on September 7, 2020, in which she uploaded an image with the caption ‘Pray for us,’ was accompanied by a lengthy caption addressing her and Brandon’s separation.

Jen and Brandon Hatmaker Divorced for What Reason?

“First and foremost, I want to thank you for your kindness over the last two months.”

Jen thanked her Instagram followers before delving into the implications of her and Brandon’s divorce. She described the separation as ‘completely unexpected,’ despite her difficulty putting it into words. Jen also expressed her shock, grief, and broken heart over her breakup with Brandon.

She also asked the public to give the family some privacy during this difficult time following the couple’s divorce, writing,

“I’m going away with the kids for a little while, and I’d like to ask for your kindness…and some breathing room.
Please respect our children’s and extended family’s privacy.”

However, aside from addressing her current situation following their divorce, the post did not reveal anything about the reason for their divorce.

Bandon filed for divorce on August 21, according to a source. The divorce file, however, did not reveal the reason for their divorce. The couple rose to prominence as a power couple who founded Austin New Church and published books. However, they are best known for their 2016 appearance on My Big Family Renovation, an HGTV show.

The couple married in 1993 and have five children from their marriage. Three of their children are biological, while the other two are adopted. Although the reason for their divorce is unknown, rumors suggest that it was due to Brandon’s extramarital affair with Rachel Hollis.

Brandon Hatmaker and Rachel Hollis rumor

Rachel is the CEO of Chic Media and the founder of TheChicSite, a lifestyle website. She had previously appeared on Jen’s podcast, For the Love of New Beginnings.

It’s unclear how the rumor of Brandon and Rachel’s affair spread, but it didn’t take long for it to spread like wildfire. While Brandon was allegedly having an affair, Rachel’s divorce from her husband, Dave Hollis, in 2020 added fuel to the rumor when many speculated the affair played a role in Rachel’s divorce.

Rachel discussed her divorce on Instagram, revealing some details about her difficult decision to end her marriage. However, she did not reveal the reason for their breakup.

People were quick to associate Rachel’s divorce with Brandon’s failed marriage even though she had not stated why the divorce occurred.

While it is unknown whether the rumor is true or a hoax, the reason for Brandon and his ex-divorce wife is also unknown because they do not want to reveal their personal affairs.

Although Brandon and Jen’s relationship has ended, their parental responsibilities to their children will always keep them connected in some way.
