In the world of professional surfing, Kanoa Igarashi and his girlfriend Teresa Bonvalot are having a significant impact. Igarashi just won the World Surf League Championship and the WSL Rip Curl Pro, earning him a spot in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

He made history by becoming the youngest surfer to ever win the under-18 US National Championships. He won the Governor’s Cup at the Surfing America Championships that same year. Igarashi often placed bets on the Qualifying Series. During the US Open of Surfing in 2017, he enjoyed an emotional victory lap at his home break in Huntington Beach after winning the Hang Loose Pro and Pantin Classic in 2016.

Teresa Bonvalot is Kanoa Igarashi’s Girlfriend

On the WQS show, Kanoa Igarashi met Teresa Bonvalot, his Portuguese lover. She is beginning to leave her mark as well. Igarashi recently wrapped up his first year on the CT with an outstanding second-place finish at the Billabong Pipe Masters. North of Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, in the area of Cascais known for its waves, Teresa Bonvalot was born and raised.

Many analysts predicted that she would transition from the QS to the CT quickly due to her polished, effortless demeanor and excellent technical abilities. Even though she placed in the top 20 in 2018, she hasn’t shown the consistency required to pass muster. Following her third and fifth-place finishes at the most recent World Junior Championships, many experts consider Bonvalot to be Europe’s most promising young athlete. Even though their relationship is still young, the young couple’s future appears promising.

Kanoa Igarashi’s Parents:

In order to raise their two children, one of whom is a perennial contender for the world surfing championship, Kanoa Igarashi’s parents relocated from Japan to Huntington Beach. The choice of Kanoa to represent Japan in the inaugural surfing competition at the Olympic Games this summer seems to complete the family’s narrative.

He now appears to believe that his current objectives stem from his parents’ struggles to immigrate to America. If he decides to represent Japan in the WSL Championship circuit, he has the best chance of accomplishing this. The fact that Kanoa will represent Japan in surfing at their beach is a fantastic narrative, according to Kanoa’s father, Tsutomu Igarashi.

What Is Kanoa Igarashi’s Net Worth?

Idolnetworth.com pegs Kanoa Igarashi’s net worth at $70 million. He started surfing when he was three years old, and at age six, he entered his first competition. When he started to appear in several seasons of a Japanese reality TV program, his fame spread quickly over the globe.

At age 18, Kanoa was the Tour’s youngest rookie in 2016, yet his composed manner caught people’s attention. He outperformed every other surfer on the Tour that year in terms of Round One victories, and his second-place performance at Pipeline stunned everyone.

Igarashi, who holds American and Japanese passports, has been in Portugal for a longer period of time. By purchasing a home in the wave-rich area of Ericeira, the world citizen has expanded his spectacular surf repertoire by adding a preference for strong reef breaks.
