Sammy Sosa, a former baseball player, is blissfully wed to Sonia Sosa, his second wife. His spouse, Sonia, used to be an actress and dancer on television but now leads a quiet life.

Even though they have a big family, the couple treasures their time spent together. Sammy Sosa, a former Major League Baseball (MLB) player from the Dominican Republic and the United States, played for the Chicago Cubs for the majority of his 18 seasons in the league.

In a similar vein, the player started his Major League Baseball career with the Texas Rangers and Chicago White Sox before thriving with the Cubs. In just 1,354 games, he hit his 400th home run, making him one of only nine players in history to reach 600. Six-foot-tall Sosa gained a lot of notoriety in 1998 when he and Mark McGwire tried to surpass Roger Maris’ record for home runs.

In addition, he was a seven-time Chicago Cubs All-Star. The baseball player made a name for himself as one of the best home run hitters, ranking second among players born outside of the United States, after playing for the Baltimore Orioles and then rejoining the Rangers.

Meet Sammy Sosa Wife Sonia Sosa

Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Sonia Sosa is a citizen of that country. She doesn’t, however, go into great length about her early life, parents, or siblings. It appears that she is in her fifties. She hasn’t disclosed much about her upbringing or educational history, but it’s possible that she picked up dancing on her own.

In a similar vein, the well-known spouse tried his hand at acting after working for several years as a TV dancer. Among her creations are ESPN SportsCentury (1999) and Mi última Batalla (2007).

Moving on, the former dancer used to utilize Twitter and Instagram to communicate private information with her fans. Regretfully, she no longer keeps up a consistent social media presence. Sammy, her spouse, is reportedly very busy running his construction company.

Married Life and Kids

In 1992, Sammy Sosa wed Sonia Rodriguez for the second time; after the marriage, she adopted the name Sonia Sosa. The couple may date for some time before accepting each other. The precise facts of their first encounter, though, remain absent.

They might have connected at a party or business function. Sammy was a rising star at the time, and Sonia was a TV dancer. Sammy’s first marriage ended in divorce, and less than a year later, he married Sonia.

The former baseball player and Karen Lee Bright, his first wife, reportedly remained wed from 1990 to 1991. They parted without having a child in common. Baseball player Sammy, a Dominican native, is blissfully wed to Sonia. Michael Sosa, Kenia, Keysha, and Sammy Sosa Jr. are their four children.
