Eric Carter, Jay-Z’s brother, Who Is He?

Eric Carter, Jay-Z’s elder brother, and the renowned rapper have a complicated and illustrious relationship. In addition, Eric is Jay-Z’s only sibling, and their past has been characterized by both hardship and resiliency.

Drug addiction proved to be a difficult phase of Eric’s life, and at one time it caused a disturbing event with Jay-Z. It is said that when Eric was twelve years old, Jay-Z shot him in the shoulder after he stole a ring from his younger brother. Jay-Z has spoken openly about this horrible experience, sharing his worry that it might end his life and that he would suffer dire legal repercussions. His dominance in the entertainment sector was further cemented in 2008 with the founding of Roc Nation, which was made possible by these firms. Jay-Z’s Age Difference With His Sibling

Although the material that is now available does not specifically state how old Jay-Z is compared to his older brother Eric Carter, it is known that a critical occurrence happened when Jay-Z was just 12 years old. Jay-Z allegedly shot Eric in the shoulder at that moment after Eric took a ring from him.

This incident implies that Eric is older than Jay-Z because a younger person wouldn’t normally be involved in such behaviors. Even though their relationship has been complicated at times, the two have stayed close over the years. As of 2023, Jay-Z—whose true name is Shawn Corey Carter—will be 53 years old. He was born in New York City on December 4, 1969.

This was the beginning of his musical adventure. The familial ties have persisted despite the ups and downs of their relationship.
