People are curious about Carlos Medina, the housekeeper’s husband. Carlos Medina was detained in connection with the shooting death of a bishop in Los Angeles. Authorities claim that the guy who was arrested on Monday in connection with the weekend murder of a Catholic bishop that devastated Los Angeles’ immigrant and religious communities is the spouse of the victim’s housekeeper and a worker at his apartment.

Auxiliary Bishop David O’Connell, 69, was fatally shot on Saturday in the bedroom of his house in Hacienda Heights, an unincorporated community approximately 20 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna. Approximately 35 miles south of Hacienda Heights, in Torrance, a SWAT unit apprehended Carlos Medina, O’Connell’s housekeeper.

He asserted that investigators had not found any evidence of a forced entry into the house owned by the archbishop and that Medina’s wife was assisting them. Detectives allegedly discovered guns at Medina’s home, and ballistic tests are still pending, according to Luna.

It was not immediately clear if Medina was being represented by a lawyer. Let’s delve in to get more information about the wife and murder case of Carlos Medina.

Carlos Medina’s wife is unknown

The maid of Bishop David O’Connell’s spouse has been jailed in connection with the bishop’s death, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported on Monday. However, due to the case’s recentness, there aren’t many web records pertaining to the offender’s personal information. The name of Carlos Medina’s wife is likewise unknown at this time.

After an overnight standoff at his Torrance home, Carlos Medina, 65, was captured by authorities, L.A. County Sheriff Robert Luna reported during a press conference. O’Connell, 69, the auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, was found dead on Saturday afternoon in the bedroom of his Hacienda Heights residence from an upper torso gunshot wound. He was recognized as having passed away at the spot.

According to Luna, the police deemed the death “strange,” but no indication of a forced entrance into the House or a pistol were discovered at the scene. According to Luna, after scouring the neighborhood, officers found surveillance footage that showed a dark-colored compact SUV coming into O’Connell’s driveway.

Husband Of A Housekeeper Is Indicted In A Shooting Death

After that, according to Luna, detectives got a tip about Medina who was being “weird, erratic, and making statements about the bishop owing him money.” Medina, the husband of O’Connell’s maid, had previously helped out around the bishop’s residence and drove an SUV similar to the one in the video.

He claims that the tip-giver alerted authorities that Medina had left his residence in Torrance and was heading to Central California. However, a local told authorities that Medina had returned at approximately two in the morning on Monday. When the authorities surrounded Medina’s House, he was requested to surrender but resisted.

Then, according to Luna, Medina left his house at 8:15 am and was apprehended without more commotion. Two guns and other possible evidence were discovered by the authorities, which Luna said will be looked into to see whether they had any link to the crime. While lamenting the bishop’s death, Luna referred to O’Connell as a “pillar in our community.”
