Delsi-May and Steven Watkins are Ollie Watkins’ parents. His mother and father divorced when he was a child. His mother was the only one who could support him and his four siblings.

Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins is a talented Premier League soccer player. The English player also plays for the England national team. Since the mid-2010s, Watkins has been a professional soccer player. The 27-year-old has established himself as one of the best players in the league. Aside from his professional life, the soccer player’s personal life has sparked a lot of attention. We’ll learn about his parents and family background in this little chapter.

Who Are Delsi-May and Steven Watkins, Ollie Watkins’ parents? Ethnicity and Origin

Oliver George Arthur Watkins was born in Torquay, Devon, England. His parents, Delsi-May and Steven Watkins, welcomed him on December 30, 1995. Ollie Watkins’ parents divorced while he was a child. The soccer player’s mother, Delsi, raised him and his brothers on her own.

Watkins has three brothers, Richie, Dale, and Jordan, and one sister, Charlotte. The forward’s mother told The Times in 2021 that combining her profession and Watkins’ training at Exeter’s academy was often challenging. Watkins’ mother would drive him to the academy and then rush back to her office.

Her efforts, however, were not in vain. The forward’s mother is overjoyed with his accomplishments. The proud mother also stated that little Ollie Watkins has always wanted to be a professional footballer. “He used to skateboard on occasion, but only for a short time.”

According to Ollie’s mother, he used to BMX but it didn’t last long. “Every time he walked out, he’d come back with a blinking football.” “I have pictures of Oliver collecting about 20 footballs while playing,” Delsi stated.

Ollie Watkins’ Mother Delsi-May Watkins Is a Professional Singer

The Ashton Villa forward’s mother is a professional singer. Delsi-May is better known by her stage name, Ruby Washington. As a single mother, Delsi-May used to take her four children to her concerts. Delsi Watkins’ band, The Superstitions, was a popular choice for weddings and other special events in the South West prior to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Delsi-May has long been a professional vocalist. She mentioned in the same interview that she had the opportunity to record when she was younger. The origin of Ollie Watkins’ stage name was explained by her mother, who stated that after signing a recording contract, the moniker “Ruby Washington” emerged alongside her images. When Delsi-May was younger and protested that it wasn’t her name, they told her, “That’s what we want you to be.”

Despite the fact that she had not signed the contract at the time, the singer used the stage name. Previously, the brilliant footballer’s mother was a member of the all-female ensemble Divas. However, disaster struck in 1993. Delsi-May’s bandmates, Rose Patterson and Dee Koskela, were killed in a car accident. The band was on their way home from a show in Minehead.

Ollie Watkins’ brother Dale Watkins played football

As previously stated, Ollie Watkins has three brothers and a sister. The footballer’s older brother is Dale Watkins. Ollie’s brother was a huge football lover. When he was little, he used to play football. Dale, on the other hand, broke his leg when he was 16 or 17 years old. Dale broke the same leg 18 months later on the same pitch. Delsi May stated that he was on the verge of losing his leg. Dale Watkins was unable to play professional football, but his helpful guidance was critical to Ollie’s success.
