Anna Shcherbakova said she felt hollow. Normally, winning a gold medal is met with elation, but Anna’s Olympic victory was met with a sense of loss. During her final performance, the presumptive champion Kamila Valieva collapsed and sobbed when she realized her efforts fell short of a top-three finish.

As a result, Kamila was the focus of attention as the impact of her doping scandal eventually appeared to be too much for her. The Russian squad comforted Kamila rather than joining Anna in her celebration.

Nevertheless, Anna delivered a faultless performance and defeated Alexandra Trusova, who earned the silver medal, by 4.22 points. This essay will examine Anna Shcherbakova’s parents and the assistance they have given their daughter.

Where was Anna Shcherbakova born? Ethnicity, Nationality, Family, Education

To drive Anna to figure skating practice, Anna’s mother resigned from her work. Stanislav and Julia Shcherbakova welcomed Anna into the world in Moscow, Russia. Alongside her sister Inna, she grew up.

To keep their children healthy, Stanislav and Julia started figure skating. However, they soon discovered that Anna was talented and enjoyed it. She resisted being convinced to give up the sport.

When Anna joined the team of coach Eteri Georgievna, it was nearly difficult to stop her from skating. Anna was forced to resign from her job when Julia started going to practice with her. To Sport-Express, Julia said:

“First, I had to drive the kids to train, which I don’t enjoy; the first few journeys were stressful. Second, I left my work, which I still regret doing, to take my kids to train. Just to get the kids to training, a lot of things have to change.

Julia kept her motherly responsibilities to herself and refrained from trying to sway Anna’s behavior. Although she occasionally commented, her main function was to provide support. Additionally, I am not a figure skating specialist, Julia added. I play more of a supportive psychological role.

She went to competitions with Anna as well, where they perfected a winning routine. Even while Julia loved spending time with Anna, she eventually developed stage fright and couldn’t watch some of the performances. She remarked, “My nerves can’t handle the tension at all.

Stanislav, who was once the family’s sole provider, made an effort to attend tournaments but only occasionally showed up for practice. He admitted to Sport-Express that he delighted in seeing Anna dazzle a crowd:

“I enjoy watching things happen. Jumps spin and other technical details are beyond my comprehension. Even in the program, I am unable to highlight the step track. There are no words to describe the emotion when your child rises the entire auditorium. Pride in coping, betraying, opening up, pulling away, collecting, enduring, and even maintaining the image.

Stanislav made sure Anna followed her study schedule at home. I am stringent in that I don’t use the term “tomorrow,” he declared.

“Anya knows that classes with teachers cannot be missed, regardless of how exhausted she is following a workout or how much she would like to sleep in the morning.”

After fracturing her leg, Anna’s parents didn’t expect she would continue skating.

Anna shattered her leg while training before her maiden season with the international team. Anna’s parents didn’t think she could walk normally again, much less go back to the ice rink. As he stated to Russia Beyond:

“The leg looked rather strange after six weeks in a full cast; it was just a shapeless object that hardly bent at all. To reassure ourselves that everything would straighten out, the leg would return to normal, and the child would be able to walk like everyone else without limping, we had to have a tremendous deal of faith in the power of nature. I regarded my return to the rink as a big miracle, no less.

Anna bounced back and triumphed in global junior young competitions. Five years after a fractured leg nearly put an end to her career, she is now a world champion and an Olympic gold medallist in figure skating.

Stanislav and Julia discussed the possibility of Anna retiring at seventeen (Anna’s present age) with Sports-Express. Stanislav expressed concerns, saying that he believed it was too soon for a 17-year-old to resign. Julia seemed unconcerned about it, however. He stated:

“Of course, I will be disappointed if Anya finishes at 17,” the speaker said. She is an artist as well as a quaint, and she excels at transferring images. Some photographs are simply too young to reveal at 17, or even at 20. Whatever awards it has won by then, it will remain an incomplete song.
