Ben’s enthusiasm for undersea exploration, which he inherited from his father, is evident in all of his professional endeavors, even in the computer industry.

His social media presence provides insights on his fascination with wreck research and deep-sea expeditions.

Quincy Rush, 31, chose an alternative career route from her brother, a software engineer.

Ben, Wendy Rush’s son, and Quincy, her daughter

Ben Rush seems destined from an early age to carry on his father Stockton Rush’s innovative and exploratory nature.

Long before Ben left to study at Princeton, his passion for remote-controlled robots and submersible cars suggested a career in engineering.

Ben’s passions became clear there when he constructed and coded a robotic arm for use in investigating deep-sea wrecks.

This early success brought together his growing computer skills and natural love of the sea.

After graduating in 2011, Ben began working as a software developer at Google, a leading worldwide technology company.

More recently, he has worked with Pioneer Square Labs, a startup foundry in Seattle that applies cutting edge technology to solve practical issues.

Ben updates his social circles from the field on a regular basis, much like his father, a seafarer.

Whether he’s looking over the research ship’s bow or traveling far below the surface of the ocean in a submersible car.
