Trevor Kennison, a sit-skier, is dating Kelly Lawson, and they share similar interests and careers. They always share their amazing adventures in the snow and while traveling.

Kennison was born and raised in Keene, New Hampshire. As children, he and his sister enjoyed football, swimming, and other pastimes, but they were usually on the mountain. Trevor planned to become a plumber after high school, but he soon got disillusioned and openly pursued his passion.

Trevor’s heart and passion have always been in the mountains of Colorado. Trevor and his family took a trip to the West when he was 12 years old, and he enjoyed it. Thus, he decided to relocate to Colorado in 2013. Trevor Kennison, 22, was paralyzed from the waist down in 2014 after hitting a 40-foot jump in the backcountry near Vail Pass, sliding sideways, and landing on his back.

Despite his injuries, he got back up and proceeded to sit ski. He claimed that the accident had a good effect on his life. In addition, he has attended several camps and excelled in the X Games, breaking a few personal records.

Trevor Kennison’s Girlfriend, Kelly Lawson

Kelly Lawson and Trevor Kennison are dating, as evidenced by their adorable Instagram photos. The couple enjoys their time among the mountains and snow. However, details about Trevor’s dating history are unknown. He had a girlfriend throughout his injury, but the relationship appears to have ended. Kelly Lawson is his new girlfriend. Nonetheless, Trevor has not provided any information on his partnerships.

Trevor’s Life-Changing Injury

Trevor nailed a jump and picked up an edge while backcountry snowboarding on Vail Pass. He spun forward unintentionally while in the air. Trevor tucked forward, landing on his lower back instead of his head. He alleges that between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m., he laid in the snow until the search and rescue team could take him from the woods.

Despite being paralyzed from the waist down, Trevor continued to enjoy skiing and returned to the mountain on a sit ski. Trevor is also an excellent athlete, having executed the first backflip as a sit skier. Trevor has reinvented his life as a public person, attempting to teach the world what it means to be disabled and that it is normal.

Aside from being active on social media, he is currently working with the High Fives non-profit adaptive sports foundation, Darn Tough Vermont, and a variety of other organizations to spread this message. Trevor Kennison and Barry Corbet collaborated to create a documentary on their struggles following horrific spinal cord injuries 50 years apart.

I landed on my back, my board and boots crushed like a taco, and then I heard a loud pop. I remember lying there, thinking about my girlfriend, and my sister, telling my parents, telling my boss, not being a plumber anymore, not doing the things I enjoy. I stared at my feet and understood immediately.

He also thanks his sister and brother-in-law for assisting him with his physical, intellectual, and emotional recovery following his injuries. Trevor has inspired millions to pursue their dreams and interests, no matter what. He gave them new insights on impairments that they hadn’t explored before.
