Tana Mundkowsky (aka Tana Flowers) is a former store manager who used to be a teacher. Tana, on the other hand, rose to prominence following her marriage to Brandon Flowers, the lead singer of the rock band The Killers. Her husband is also the band’s keyboardist.

In terms of marriage, the pair has been married for more than a decade. In addition, the couple has three children. Despite their happy marriage, the couple has had their fair share of ups and downs throughout the years. Tana Flowers, Brandon Flowers’ wife, has been suffering from complicated PTSD as a result of several horrible incidents from childhood through maturity.

Let’s look into some additional fascinating aspects of Tana Mundkowsky’s life.

Tana Mundkowsky, who are you? Her Age and Childhood

Tana is well-known as the wife of rock star Brandon Flowers, as previously stated. Mundkowsky was born in 1981, the same year her spouse Flowers was born. Her age in 2023 is 42.

While her parents’ identities are unknown, she has a photographer brother named Torey Mundkowsky.

Tana was born in the United States of America and is of American nationality and Caucasian ancestry.

What is Tana Mundkowsky doing now? Her Professional Life

Tana previously worked for American designer Betsey Johnson. She was also a retail manager at Urban Outfitters in Flowers’ hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mundkowsky also worked as a school teacher at one point in her career.

Tana is also an enthusiastic knitter. She even stated on Instagram that she “knits with passion.”

Tana and her future husband Brandon met when they were in their early twenties.

Mundkowsky met her then-boyfriend Flowers in 2001 at the Buffalo Exchange thrift store on Flamingo Road in Las Vegas. They were both in their early twenties when they first met. The lead singer of The Killer band went to the store with his bandmate Dave to get some materials for their first-ever show.

Flowers had observed Mundkowsky, who was dressed in a bootleg Joy Division t-shirt with Mickey Mouse on it and a pink trench coat. Brandon realized almost once that the lady was way cooler than him and that it would be much more fun to hang out with her. He stated,

“She used to work at Betsey Johnson. She was more cool than I was. I believe in destiny. She’s ideal for me. I knew right away. She’s really unique, creative, and full of life.”

Meanwhile, Mundkowsky was working for renowned designer Betsey Johnson. Regardless, by the end of their conversation, the lovebirds had exchanged phone numbers. He then said that he couldn’t stand it any longer and called her that night.

Tana and Brandon embarked on their first date after some time had passed. Tana remembers her new lover “taking me to an all-night record store and quizzing me on different artists – everything from Bowie to the Smiths and Leonard Cohen” on their first date. When I told him I had an import version of a Bowie album, he passed.”

Tana enjoys music as well.

Mundkowsky enjoys music in the same way as her spouse does. When they first met, she sang Tom Waits’ song ‘Ruby’s Arms’ to him as they drove through Vegas. Flowers stated, “My wife and I bonded over this song when we first met.”

He also stated that both of them cried in the car at some time.

Tana Mundkowsky and Brandon Flowers tied the knot in a private ceremony.

Brandon and Tana married on August 2, 2005, after dating for almost four years. They married in “a small, intimate wedding” on the Hawaiian island of O’ahu. According to a spokesman for The Killers, Dave, Mark, and Ronnie were among the few other attendees.

They moved into their new home in Henderson, about 10 miles from the Las Vegas strip, soon after their wedding. They eventually purchased a home in Park City, Utah’s Snowy Slopes, where they currently dwell.

Her husband and she have three children.

Mundkowsky and her husband are the fortunate parents of three children. Ammon, the couple’s first child, was born on July 14, 2007. Gunner, their second child, was born on July 28, 2009. Brandon Flowers’ wife Tana gave birth to their third child, Henry, on March 9, 2011.

Back in 2010, the rocker told the Daily Mail that he planned to cut back on touring to spend more time with his children.

“I enjoy music, but I would like to spend more time with my children.” I’d like to be present when they begin school.”

Tana adores animals.

She got two puppies as soon as she married Flowers. One was a Nikita, and the other was a poodle. She frequently posts images of her dogs on her social media accounts.

Her Charitable Work

Tana has been involved with a variety of charitable causes over the years. She once shaved her head in support of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a non-profit organization. Its goal is to raise funds to assist children with cancer.

Tana has converted to Mormonism.

Tana began reading the Book of Mormon without telling Flowers while they were dating. Brandon’s sister was the only one who knew. However, when Flowers returned home from his tour, he learned that his then-girlfriend had converted to Mormonism.

Tana Mundkowsky, what happened to her? Her Battle with PTSD

Tana has been suffering from complex PTSD for some years. Flowers, the singer and composer, spoke with Radio X about his wife’s pain. He admitted to missing one of his solo shows in August 2015 because his wife was contemplating suicide.

He mentioned Q magazine.

“I canceled that tour because she got to a point – it’s difficult for me to even say this – where she was having suicidal thoughts.” That was the worst of it.”

Flowers also stated that the couple had a “horrible” time. The song “Some Kind of Love,” written by the artist, was also dedicated to his wife.

According to Rolling Stone,

“It has become an important part of our lives in recent years.” ‘I can’t do this alone/We need you at home/There’s so much to see/And we know you’re strong,’ I and my boys chorus at the end of the song. It’s quite moving. When I played it for her, she just sobbed. But I’m really proud of that one.”

Unfortunately, Tana Mundkowsky’s net worth has yet to be determined. Her husband Brandon, on the other hand, is worth $25 million. His main source of income is his singing career.
