Seeing their children develop before their eyes is an emotional experience for any parent, especially if it is their first child. The first steps, the first words, the first grin, and, most significantly, the first day of school.

On September 13, the former professional ice hockey player dropped off his adorable infant kid on his first day of pre-school.

On Twitter, he shared a father-son encounter and wrote,

“It’s been a crazy day with my kid starting pre-school. “Stop growing up so quickly.”

This lovely father-son team is warmly supported by the family’s mother and another son. Whitney has been happily married for nearly four years.

Ryan Whitney- Birth, Age, Ethnicity, Siblings, Education

Whitney was born on February 19, 1983, and has two younger brothers, Colin and Sean. Colin was a lacrosse player at Connecticut College, while Sean was a hockey player at Cornell University.

Ryan was born in Scituate, Massachusetts, and measures 6 feet 4 inches tall. He was given a full scholarship to Boston University.

He played for Modo Hockey, HC Sochi, the Florida Panthers, the Edmonton Oilers, the Anaheim Ducks, and the Pittsburgh Penguins during his career. Whitney’s career stretched almost a decade, from 2004 to 2015, before he retired in 2015.

Pink Whitney vodka, which is flavored with pink lemonade, is named for him.

The drink is only available in the United States and Canada. Pink Whitney vodka is said to be the world’s fastest-growing flavored vodka brand, with an estimated gross sales of $100 million.

Ryan Whitney- Relationship, Married Life

Ryan has been married to Bryanah Bascon since 2017. The two married in a stunning ceremony on the Neponset Riverwalk’s Green Bridge.

Their wedding was attended by a small gathering of friends and relatives. The venue’s woodsy setting included cigar bars, champagne, and a dancing floor, of course!

Bryanah was escorted by two small bridesmaids. She wore a clean tailored wedding gown, and the groom, Ryan, looked dapper in a gray suit with a blue tie and a bright smile.

Bryanah is a yogi and a communications and media studies graduate. She has worked as a Marketing and Merchandising Organizer and project coordinator for firms such as Reebok and Jack Morton.

After five years of working as a Yoga Instructor, she created Bree Bascon Consulting, which assists businesses in marketing their products across the country and developing a strategy.

The mother of two describes herself as a problem solver, strategic thinker, marketer, and trained yogi. Although she is not active on social media, her loving husband enjoys keeping his Twitter followers up to date.

Following the birth of their first son, Ryder, in 2018, the couple was blessed with a second son, Wyatt, in 2020. Ryan’s personal life has brought him tremendous joy, but his professional life has been equally gratifying.

Ryan Whitney- Professional Career

Whitney played for his high school squad from Thayer Academy and the USA National Development program before enrolling at Boston University.

After finishing his freshman year, he rewarded himself by signing with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Ryan, 38, was moved to the Edmonton Oilers in 2010 after nearly a decade with the Penguins.

His career accomplishments, however, are not confined to playing on the national team. He is also a former Olympian, having competed in the 2010 Winter Olympics and winning a silver medal.

Ryan retired from professional hockey in late 2015, but his passion for sports never faded. He became an analyst for the NHL Network. The Olympic silver medalist is also a Barstool Sports podcast host.
