Stefanos Tsitsipas, a fifth-seeded Greek player known for his flamboyant playing style and long, beautiful hair, is one of the most popular male players on the circuit.

Fans routinely compliment the athlete’s hair, but one particular feature of his flowing locks has generated a lot of buzz.

Tsitsipas is constantly questioned about how he maintains his hair, thus it came as a shock to many of his fans when he shockingly admitted that he “never” uses shampoo on it instead of conditioner.

On October 1st, the United States celebrates National Hair Day. Tsitsipas was one of the first tennis players to decide to adopt a hair theme for the 2020 U.S. Open.

Stefanos Titsipas, a tennis player, has real hair, right?

The hair on Stefanos Tsitsipas is genuine. Stefanos Tsitsipas discussed his daily routine for maintaining healthy, lustrous hair in talks with the BBC.

The tennis champion spoke about the olive oil, baby oil, and Greek oregano he uses in his regular 20-minute hair-combing regimen.

In August 2021, just before the start of the U.S. Open, the Greek tennis player was questioned about his hair and if he had chopped it while in quarantine in New York. Because he doesn’t trust anybody to cut his hair, Tsitsipas informed the aspiring journalist that he doesn’t remember having it trimmed during the lockdown.

Stefanos Tsitsipas: How Did He Grow His Hair?

Stefanos Tsitsipas is really difficult to forecast. He revealed to his supporters that one of his pet peeves is shampoo during a Q&A session.

The Greeks were ordered to cease doing the hair of a supporter who describes himself as an unredeemable lover of boy bands. You should only ever use conditioner, he said, never shampoo. The admirer saw it as a smart choice. Some others were stroking their just shampooed heads, however.

Last year, Tsitsipas convinced Naomi Osaka that he had colored his hair with Greek olive oil, mayonnaise, vinegar, and wasabi. Though it was just a joke, maybe foregoing shampoo in favor of conditioner is a common practice in Greece.

Was Mayonnaise Used In Stefanos Tsitsipas’ Hair?

Due to his disclosure of his daily hair routine, Stefanos Tsitsipas continues to get attention in the tennis community. Fans may still recall his father’s lack of trust in giving him a haircut, the ATP homage to Greek stylists, and the mayonnaise joke on Naomi Osaka.

Throughout the duration of the tennis ban’s quarantine, Tsitsipas and Osaka often exchanged internet postings. At the time, which occurred in 2020, the Japanese former world number one claimed she respected him. He spoke courteously and praised her for her social and anti-racist initiatives.

By pulling a hair-related joke on Osaka, he created history. When questioned about how he keeps such good hair, he explains that he first uses Greek olive oil on his hair before adding wasabi and vinegar. He continued by saying that he waits for around 25 to 30 minutes before taking a shower.

Osaka labeled him a liar when she found out he teases her. In joking, Tsitsipas said, “I always thought I was terrible at lying, but I’ve recently improved.”
