After being detained in 2012 on suspicion of DUI, people now question if Shawn Pomrenke is currently in jail.

Shawn Pomerenke and his father commonly feature on the Discovery Channel’s “Bering Sea Gold,” also known as “Gold Divers” in the UK. The Christine Rose dredge is owned by Shawn and his father, and it is where most of the channel’s shoots take place.

They spend their time at sea looking for gold on the ocean floor. Even though his father is known for having a strong moral compass, Shawn does not always adhere to his father’s ethical and moral standards.

Pomerenke has been involved in two events that have received extensive media coverage; the first caused him to sustain serious physical injuries, and the second led to his imprisonment on a number of charges.

Shawn Pomrenke—Is He Arrested?

Although the allegations against Shawn Pomrenke have not been made public, the incident did not result in him spending any time in jail.

Shawn was allegedly arrested in 2012 on charges of DUI after hitting a pedestrian in the rear and evading police, according to TMZ.

In 2013, Pomerenke took part in an even chillier event. Most people need to be persuaded, even though the following is adequate to change people’s minds regarding the affable character. As he retracted out of a parking space, Shawn ran into a client carrying their groceries.

When the police did manage to apprehend Pomerenke, they made him do a breathalyzer test, the results of which showed that he had a blood alcohol level of.125.

What Actions Took Shawn Pomrenke?

Shawn Pomrenke, the co-owner of the largest gold dredge shown on the program, was apprehended on December 9th, 2012, in Nome, Alaska, and subsequently arrested on four charges of DUI. He fled the scene of the accident while driving without insurance and was assaulted in the third degree.

According to the criminal complaint, Shawn struck a person walking with groceries as he was backing out of a parking space, grinned, and then fled.

When the police caught up with Shawn later, they said he admitted to drinking a little and operating a vehicle without insurance. Shawn allegedly failed a field sobriety test and registered a breathalyzer reading of.125, or nearly twice the legal limit, for blood alcohol.

As soon as possible, Shawn was arrested. Shawn’s lawyer did not answer calls, and Discovery’s spokeswoman remained silent.

Arrest and Charges Against Shawn Pomrenke

Pomrenke, the star of the well-liked Discovery Channel series “Bearing Sea Gold: Under the Ice,” was pulled over by police for exceeding the legal DUI speed limit by more than 100 mph.
