After being chosen as the Prime Minister of New Zealand on October 26, 2017, at the age of 37, Ardern is the nation’s youngest head of state.

She is also the second leader in the world (after Benazir Bhutto) to get pregnant while in office, and the only head of state of New Zealand.

Internet users are interested in learning more about Jacinda’s family and personal life after she abruptly announced her departure.

So, this article examines the personal history and family background of the current prime minister.

Who Are Ross And Laurell Ardern, Jacinda Ardern’s Parents?

Jacinda Ardern, the prime minister of New Zealand, is the daughter of Ross and Laurell Ardern.

Ross, Jacinda’s father, was a police officer assigned to the Bay of Plenty village of Murupara, where she spent a couple of her formative years.

Ian Ardern, a general authority in the Latter-day Saints Church, is Ross’ identical twin brother. On February 28, 1954, they were conceived.

Ross Ardern, a former police officer who is now a diplomat, oversaw Tokelau from 2018 to 2022.

He served as Niue’s police commissioner from 2005 to 2009 and as New Zealand’s high commissioner from 2014 to 2018.

One of the policemen who participated in the Dawn Raids on the families living on Pacific Island families in the 1970s was Ross, who joined the New Zealand Police in 1974.

He spent 20 of his 40 years in the Criminal Investigation Branch of the police department.

The younger of her parents’ two children, Jacinda Ardern also has an elder sister named Louise.

Ray Dussan, a Colombian by nationality, is married to Louise. Before getting married in July 2017, the pair dated for 10 years.

Up until 2017, the pair called London, England, home. After that, they relocated to New Zealand.

Two children were born to Louise and Ray. Isabella, their daughter and oldest child, was born in 2013.

On the day Louise was sworn in as the Prime Minister of New Zealand, their son, their youngest child, was born.

Louise said that her mother, Laurell, was in the UK attending the birth of her grandson, and that her father, Ross, had been there with her for her coronation as prime minister.

Children And Fiance Of Jacinda Ardern

A television broadcaster named Clark Gayford is Jacinda Ardern’s fiancé. The pair started dating after their first 2012 encounter.

After Clark sought Jacinda’s opinion on a contentious Government Communications Security Bureau law, the two began dating.

Jacinda and Clark chose to be married in January 2020 after many years of dating. They got engaged on May 3, 2019.

They still haven’t tied the knot, however, as a result of the Omicron version of the coronavirus becoming more prevalent.

After former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto in 1990, Jacinda became the second head of state to give birth while in office.

Neve Te Aroha was born to her and Clark on July 21, 2018, at Auckland City Hospital.
