Robert Ramirez III: Who Is He? Commander of Navy Seal Team 1 Found Dead with Cause of Death and Obituary

Navy Seal Team 1’s special operations commander was Robert “Bobby” Ramirez III. He passed away when he was 47 years old.

At his house, a decorated body was discovered. Officials from Naval Special Warfare Command claim that there is no evidence to suggest that Ramirez’s death was the consequence of criminal activity.

Additionally, the investigation by the San Diego County Sheriff’s office is ongoing.

Following the news’s release, Commander Robert Ramirez III was honored. Bobby was an excellent leader, a loving husband and father, and a terrific friend to everyone, according to Captain David Abernathy, commanding officer of Naval Special Warfare Group 1.

He continued by saying that Robert’s passing is a tragic loss for their town and all of the people who knew him.

The captain added that they would be there for Bobby’s friends, family, and teammates during this trying time.

A desire for privacy from Robert Ramirez’s family was also revealed by officials.

One month ago, Robert Ramirez III assumed control of the SEAL team.

In accordance with his releaseable service record and the statements of command officials, the late leader Bobby joined the unit in June and assumed command of SEAL Team 1 last month.

Among the accolades and decorations he has acquired throughout 27 years of service are five Bronze Star Medals, including two with the Combat “V” insignia denoting courage and heroism.

Ramirez also received three Combat Action ribbons and medals during the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq, among many other honors.

Robert is the second SEAL squad commander to pass away.

Brian Bourgeois, the leader of SEAL Team 8, passed away on December 4, 2021, after falling in Virginia while participating in a helicopter rope training exercise.

The results of the Army’s inquiry into Bourgeois’ death have not yet been made public.

According to Navy Times, the officer’s death was caused by a number of causes, including inadequate coordination between the aircrew and a partner ground unit and issues with the Army helicopter that Bourgeois was rappelling from.
