Tanner Lynn Horner is accused of sexually assaulting three children younger than seven, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

According to the article, Horner admitted to Police that he did not kidnap the child; rather, he said the girl was struck by his vehicle accidently, and he then strangled her out of fear that she would tell someone.

After Strand’s death, he was later detained on two other counts. After the murderer’s name was revealed, several individuals referred to him as a “absolute monster.”

Horner will likely spend the rest of his life behind bars after being charged with a $1.5 million bail and an extra $15,000 in Wise County jail.

Mother Maitlyn Gandy Lamenting Her Daughter’s Death

Maitlyn, Strand’s mother, was pleading with people to assist her in finding her kid; she was active on social media and posted images of Strand and requested aid.

She thanked individuals who helped her locate herself and the person who murdered her on social media when her corpse was discovered in Boyd, Texas, after two days.

On December 2, 2022, Gandy lost her seven-year-old kid. She posted a memorial to him or her. Athena is “just the brightest, happiest soul you could ever meet,” according to Gandy, who described her as pure, lovely, kind, smart, and naive.

“I do not want the bastard that took my baby from me and brutally murdered her to go to any city, town, county, state, or country without everyone knowing her face,” the girl’s mother said.

Gandy expressed gratitude in a different post for the individuals who shared the messages and helped them reach a large audience, writing, “Thank you for finding my baby.”

She was taking care of her stepmother when she vanished, according to the police.

Given that Gandy often posted images of her kid on her account, it was difficult to spot the post that she had made on social media.

Many people sent thoughts, prayers, and condolences for the family after she posted a memorial to her kid.
