As a judge on the television program “MasterChef: The Professionals,” Monica Galetti rose to fame. The skilled New Zealand chef, who is well-known for her candid and frank assessments of the dishes prepared by competitors, is back in the spotlight. This time, it’s not because of her cooking prowess but rather a surprising turn of events in her life: an ankle ailment that has admirers worried about her health. We’ll explore the famed chef’s leg injury and her recovery strategy in this piece.

Monica Galetti Ankle Injury Update 2023 – What Happened To Her Leg?

Since Monica Galetti hasn’t made any information about the ailment public, the nature of her ankle injury is still unknown in 2023. When the renowned chef revealed that she was leaving the show after 14 devoted years, it made headlines. Her absence was the subject of much speculation, with some speculating that she had hurt her ankle.

It is crucial to explain that, contrary to early rumors, her hiatus from the culinary world was mostly due to her issues with mental health. She also revealed to the public that she left MasterChef because she was committed to helping her nephew Otis, who is fighting an uncommon and severe form of cancer. Although Monica has demonstrated tenacity in the face of personal adversity, it doesn’t seem plausible that she has sustained an ankle injury.

Although Monica Galetti’s decision to put her family and mental health first was unexpected by her followers, it is an encouraging example of perseverance. Perhaps there were rumors of an ankle injury circulating. However, the truth is that Monica’s absence was motivated by her love for her family and her will to help her nephew get through a trying time. In her farewell speech, Monica expressed her commitment to her family and restaurant.

She did, however, express her hope to return in the future and left the door open for a potential comeback. Regarding her health update, her most recent social media posts give us hope that she is well and happy. Monica’s courage and resolve are demonstrated by her choice to put her family’s needs and her mental health first during a trying time.

A Dark Era in Monica Galetti’s Life

In an interview with The Times, Monica talked candidly about her difficult path and why she had to leave the show due to a serious family issue. Otis, her 15-year-old nephew, was diagnosed with desmoplastic small round cell tumor, an uncommon and aggressive malignancy. Monica’s world was rocked by this terrible news, which made her reevaluate her priorities.

Otis, Monica’s nephew, lives in New Zealand, but his illness has tightened the family bond. He is the same age as Monica’s fourteen-year-old daughter, Anaïs. Otis’s struggle with this severe type of cancer turned into Monica’s main worry. Even though he was receiving chemotherapy, Monica disclosed that the doctors had only given him three months to live…

Monica’s mental health suffered greatly as a result of her nephew’s diagnosis, the stress and emotional upheaval that followed, and the difficulties she faced managing Mere, her business, and her MasterChef position. She said that she was having difficulty striking a balance and that the demands of the program were “taking me to a very dark place.”
