Kimberly Guilfoyle, an American television news reporter, and a former San Francisco prosecutor, had a deceased mother named Mercedes Guilfoyle. The fact that her daughter is Donald Trump’s counselor has garnered notice from the general media.

As 2023 approaches, Mercedes is no longer a living being. She said goodbye to the world in the 1980s, and it has been close to 50 years since her passing. What, then, caused her to pass away?

Learn how Kimberly Guilfoyle’s adored mother Mercedes passed away in this article. We will also look into the specifics of her personal and professional lives. Let’s get going!

What Race Is Mercedes Guilfoyle, According To Her Parents And Siblings?

On January 22, 1942, in Aguadilla Pueblo, Puerto Rico, the late attorney’s mother, Mercedes, was given the name Mercedes Marie Gerena. Her parents Ramon and Juanita Gerena nurtured her in her hometown.

How Did Mercedes Guilfoyle Make Her Living?

She was a teacher, but the media doesn’t have a lot of information about the specifics of her line of work. However, once when discussing the immigration issue, her well-known daughter Kimberly brought up her work. She stated:

Guilfoyle was the spouse of Anthony Christopher Guilfoyle, who was born in Ireland. Although specific details about their relationship and marriage are not available in the media, we learned that the late couple met for the first time in 1968. Following that, they dated for a while before getting married.

Together as husband and wife, Mercedes and Anthony welcomed their two young children. Sadly, Mercedes said goodbye to the world after only 12 years of marriage, leaving her devoted husband Anthony, and their lovely children in his wake.

Anthony served as a political counselor to San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsome in his senior years. He was deeply involved in politics at the time and was known as “The Godfather” in Gavin’s political circles.

As a consultant, Mercedes’ late husband used to oversee the political campaign, overseeing everything from providing meals to monitoring staff availability.

Anthony Guilfoyle, the husband of Mercedes Guilfoyle, stated the following about his ongoing advisory work after his passing:

He was in charge of looking after everyone. He was the one who spoke. He operated in the shadows. When it came to managing field strategy, he was fantastic.

He served as Gavin’s primary advisor, providing him advice regarding San Francisco, identifying trustworthy people, and demonstrating how to judge a person’s character.

Anthony arrived as an immigrant in our country. Anthony served in the American Army after being here for approximately four years. He was even given a promotion to Sergeant in the US military. In a private conversation about his time in the military, he stated:

“Coming to the United States was a gift. One little way I could give back to this country was by enlisting in the Army.

Together with his uncle Michael Lynch, he worked in the construction industry before enlisting in the American military.
