Late Las Vegas showgirl Maureen Dumont Kelly was an actress who appeared in supporting roles in shows like Roseanne (1988), Thirtysomething (1987), and Hell Squad (1985). Dumont, who passed away in the late 2000s, is well known as Minka Kelly’s mother, the Butler actress.

In addition, her daughter’s roles as Gaby in Parenthood, Eve French in Charlie’s Angels, Lyla Garrity in NBC’s Friday Night Lights, and Dawn Granger in HBO’s Titans have made her famous.

Former exotic dancer Maureen Kelly gave birth to her daughter, Minka, with her ex-partner, former Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay. Despite being an actress and having a beautiful appearance, Maureen maintained a somewhat more subdued profile than her daughter Minka and ex-partner Dufay.

Maureen Dumont Kelly, the mother of AD Minka, was of Irish, English, Scottish, French, Dutch (mainly), and German descent. She allegedly also has some Indonesian ancestry.

The Charlie’s Angel actress Minka previously spoke with US Cosmopolitan about her odd upbringing and her unconventional connection with her mother.

She said that her mother Maureen held various odd jobs, including strippers, restaurants, and gas stations, in a media interview in September 2011.

Maureen would manage on it for as long as she could, according to the Just Go With It actress who played her mother. In addition, every Friday Maureen would tell Minka to skip school so they could go shopping at the US chain store Payless. Maureen also had one child, Minka.

Upon her return from her job at the strip club, Maureen reportedly used to wake Minka up late at night. After that, they would go grocery shopping.

“Like our big Friday, that was. She would want me to miss class [the following morning]… I replied, “No, Mom, I have to go to school.”

According to the Euphoria actress, she would never know whether to be grateful for how her mother treated her or to yearn for Maureen to simply be her mother. However, Minka told Cosmopolitan that her relationship with Maureen was still “pretty complicated.”

Only the guitarist for Aerosmith, Rick Dufay, has been identified as Maureen’s companion in the records and journals. While accounts of their marital status differ, some seem to support the notion that they were husband and wife. Regardless, they would have Minka Kelly as their sole child once they were all together.

Although the exact date of Maureen and Dufay’s separation is unknown, the former decided to raise her daughter alone. Years later, though, Minka would disclose that her father had offered to co-raise the Drunk History actress and that he wanted to improve his relationship with Maureen.

But according to Dufay, the actress in her 30s declined, saying she was too busy having fun.

It wasn’t that he didn’t want to be involved in our lives, though.

While elaborating on each of the aforementioned remarks, Minka said.
