Learn about the family and ethnicity of Mark Wiens

Mark Wiens is a person of mixed ancestry; his father is American and his mother is Chinese. His mother is a Hawaiian-born Chinese national.

He lived frugally when he was paid as a teacher, something he had learned from his father.

In 2016, Mark and Ying Wiens gave birth to a boy they named Micah Wiens.

While working as an English teacher in Thailand, he met his Thai partner, and they haven’t looked back since. Ying frequently operates the camera and records films and photos in her husband’s place.

Ying is an excellent cook, travel companion, and foodie. They found they had a lot in common and an immediate kinship.

Marks claims that he feels fortunate and grateful to have met Ying and that she consented to marry him.

The couple exchanged vows at a Bangkok restaurant, feasted on southern Thai cuisine, and eschewed wedding cakes in favor of a massive durian.

Ying and Mark live in Thailand but regularly travel to get the best cuisine.

Mark Wiens has undertaken extensive global travel

In 1986, Mark Wiens moved to Phoenix, Arizona in the United States. He hasn’t, however, stayed rigid in his hometown. He has been all around the world.

When Mark was five years old, his family relocated to the little French town of Albertville. They relocated from France to Tandala, a small town in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (then known as Zaire).

DR Congo served as a foundation for him to experience the people, food, and friendships even though he was still quite young at the time. In 1996, the family relocated once more to Nairobi, the nation’s capital.

The well-known blogger later earned a TESOL certification and worked as an English teacher.

He kept traveling across Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Thailand, and other countries while beginning to share his culinary and travel adventures with the globe.

From fifth grade to his graduation from high school in 2008, Mark attended Rosslyn Academy. He then came back to the country and enrolled at Arizona State University.

In 2008, he earned a diploma in global studies. At first, he didn’t know what to do; all he knew was that he didn’t want to sit in an office.
