Campbell Scott, an American actor, and director, is the father of Malcolm Scott.

The most notable performance of his father Campbell’s career was as Victor Geddes in the American love drama Dying Young, in which he shared a screen with Julia Roberts (1991). Long Time Companion, Singles, Roger Dodger, and Big Night are some of his best-known compositions.

He co-wrote the screenplay for the movie Big Night with Stanley Tucci, which garnered positive reviews and was nominated for a Grand Jury Prize. Both of them won the best director prizes from the Boston Society of Film Critics and the New York Film Critics for their work on the film.

Campbell is the child of Canadian-American performer Collen Dewhurst and award-winning actor, director, and producer George Campbell Scott.

They both rose to fame thanks to Stage plays. For his role in Patton in 1970, George became the first performer to decline the Best Actor Oscar.

His extraordinary talent left a lasting impression on the entertainment industry. At age 71, he passed away in 1999 from a ruptured abdominal aorta aneurysm. His mother, on the other hand, won four Emmy Awards and two Tony Awards for her efforts in theater and on television. At the age of 61, she passed away from cervical cancer in 1991.

After accompanying her down the aisle, Campbell wed Kathleen McElfresh, an actress and producer, who had become his second passion. The relationship lasted for about two years. They got hitched on May 30, 2009, after becoming engaged in November 2008. They have been wed for nearly ten years.

His future bride, Kathleen, claimed that she had a crush on Campbell ever since they first met. They first got together while appearing in a show at a Boston theater. Space was written by the same author, but it featured a real ensemble. The instant she saw him, she felt compelled to approach him. She closed him and took the initiative.

Instead of a big reception, the pair decided on a quiet wedding ceremony in Florida. The ceremony was kept quiet. When Malcolm was four, his parents divorced.

Campbell and Anne Scott, Malcolm’s parents, gave birth to him. Before getting married on July 9, 1991, his parents had a lengthy relationship. Teenage loves, they were. However, their union did not last long, and on September 18, 2002, they filed for divorce. Malcolm’s parents separated when he was only four years old.
