Kenn Whitaker is a native Texan.

Kenn was born in Longview, Texas on June 8, 1963. He is the son of special education teacher Laura Francis (née Smith). While parenting Kenn and his siblings, his mother attended college and got two master’s degrees.

Forest E. Whitaker Jr., Kenn’s father, was an insurance salesman. Kenn’s family relocated to Carson, California, when he was in elementary school.

He grew up in the same house as his siblings and cousin, sharing a bed with them. In 1968, the cousin joined the army.

Kenn attended Palisades Charter High School in Palisades, California. He afterwards went on to study acting in college.

Kenn’s ancestors can be traced back to Ghana, according to a DNA test performed by his brother.

When his actor-brother did a DNA test in the late 2000s, the results revealed that their mother was of Akan origin. Kenn’s father, on the other hand, was of Igbo origin.

It was also established that the Whitaker brothers’ ancestors were from Ghana.
Siblings of Kenn Whitaker

Kenn Whitaker has two brothers, the most well-known of which is Forest, who is also older than him. Damon Whitaker is up next. Deborah, the oldest of the three brothers, is their older sister.

Damon is most known for his roles in films such as Haphazard, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Champagne Game, and The Lazarus Papers.

Are Kenn and Forest Whitaker identical twins?

Given Forest’s brother’s extremely private personal life, the Most Wanted’s intricate family structure is anything but clear.

While the Whitaker brothers appear to be somewhat similar to one another, none of the three are twins. People associate Kenn and his other brother Damon with Forest to the point where some believe their names are almost made up and that they do not exist in real life.

The truth is, Kenn and Damon are really real. And the fact that the three brothers were born at various times indicates that their due dates did not coincide.

Is Kenn as wealthy as his rumored twin brother, Forest??

Kenn’s older brother is unquestionably wealthy. He has been engaged in Hollywood since the 1980s, and two of his films have grossed over a billion dollars at the box office. He remains the most well-known black actor in the North American cinema industry.

Kenn, on the other hand, while a famous face, falls short of many of the aforementioned accolades. In fact, he hasn’t been on the big screen in over two decades. Furthermore, his professional activities since then have never been revealed. As a result, it’s anyone’s guess what his net worth is.

Did Ken Whitaker and Forest Whitaker appear in the same films and television shows? What films has Kenn appeared in?

He made his acting debut in the 1997 film Most Wanted, as previously stated. Whitaker played Bus Guard 2 in the film starring Voight and Wayans. The next year, Kenn, the Oscar winner’s brother, appeared as a second smoking man in an episode titled Smoking on HBO’s sketch comedy series Tracey Takes On.

He played Henchman #1 in filmmaker Warren Beatty’s political satire black comedy picture Bulworth the same year. The film got three Golden Globe nominations and an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay.

However, he made another appearance in the Fox series Party Of Five in 1999. Kenn appeared as a detention Center Guard in the episode “Whatever Works,” which starred Scott Wolf and Neve Campbell.

Forest’s brother would earn one more performance credit before the end of 1999, in Ted Demme’s buddy comedy-drama picture Life. Kenn plays Isaac in the film, alongside stars like Murphy, Lawrence, Bernie Mac, and Bookeen Woodbine.

Two years later, Forest’s brother played the part Otis in Gabriel Bologna’s indie thriller Theory of the Leisure Class.

Kenn’s most recent part was in the film Last Days, which was released the same year as Theory Of The Leisure Class.

Did His Brother Forest Whitaker Go Blind?

For many years, filmgoers have been fascinated by Kenn’s famous sibling, Forest’s unusual left eye.

On the one hand, some feel it is a physical defect; on the other side, many believe the actor has truly lost his one eye.

It is, however, a benign ocular disorder that can cause the top eyelids to sag. Ptosis (or “drooping eye”) is the medical term for this condition.

According to critics, Kenn’s older brother has used his eye issue to his advantage, allowing him to offer greater depth to the characters he portrays.

Nonetheless, the elder Whitaker has stated that he considered corrective surgery. He emphasizes that it was not for cosmetic reasons, but because his ptosis occasionally obscures his field of vision in his left eye.

Is Kenn Whitaker Married?

After discussing his most private life, it should go without saying that Kenn’s marital life isn’t on the agenda of any tabloid, past or future. Furthermore, his brother, Forest, has managed to keep his family’s personal affairs hidden.

While the Last King Of Scotland star divorced his wife of 22 years, actress Keisha Whitaker, in 2021, the media hasn’t discussed Kenn in the same light (his wife, girlfriend, or even his family).
