Julianna Farrait is the late American drug trafficker Frank Lucas’ widow. She, like her husband, is involved in drug trafficking and was arrested in 2010 for selling cocaine at a hotel in Puerto Rico. Aside from that, she has been detained several times for her role in her husband’s business transactions.

Farrait, on the other hand, has been absolutely absent from the media since her husband’s death. So, where has she gone? Did she have any children from her previous marriage? In this post, we’ll look into some previously unknown facts concerning Frank Lucas’ wife Julianna Farrait.

Julianna Farrait: Who Is She?

Julianna Farrait, also known as Julie Farrait, is the late gangster and drug dealer Frank Lucas’ wife. She was born in Puerto Rico in 1941 and will be 82 years old in 2023.

Farrait, who came to public attention only after her marriage to Lucas, has not shared anything about her childhood. She has not shared anything about her parents or her relationship with them other than the fact that she spent her youth in Puerto Rico.

Julianna Farrait is the widow of the late Frank Lucas.

Julianna was previously married to Frank Lucas, as previously stated. In reality, it was only after her marriage to Lucas that she became a media topic, although for the wrong reasons.

According to sources, they married in a private wedding ceremony at a justice of the peace in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1967. The erstwhile team, dubbed “the black Bonnie and Clyde” because of their strong friendship, met on a plane on their way to Puerto Rico, where Frank was on vacation.

Frank and Julianna were both flying first class when Frank observed Julianna strolling down the aisle. Both of them exchanged eyes, and Julianna, according to the former drug lord, grinned back.

Despite the fact that the future husband and wife combination struggled to communicate due to the language barrier, Lucas managed to obtain her New York address. They didn’t talk for months after they split up until they ran into one other again in a club. Well, shortly after their initial meeting, the pair fell in love and began dating.

Julianna was constantly drawn to risky situations.

Frank wrote in his book,

“Julianna Farrait was always attracted to danger and loved expensive things.”

During their partnership, they became involved in various drug deals and were known as the most notorious pair. Julianna had been married to Frank until his death in 2019.

Her Husband’s Death

Unfortunately, Julianna’s spouse is no longer with us. He died on May 30, 2019, in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, according to reports. At the time, he was 88 years old.

He had been in a car accident and was consequently confined to a wheelchair before to his death.

Julianna Farrait and her husband welcomed six children.

Julianna Lucas is the mother of six children, including Frank Lucas Jr., Francine Lucas-Sinclair, Candace Lucas, Ray Lucas, Ruby Lucas, Betty Lucas, and Tony Walters. Her marriage to Frank resulted in the birth of all of her children.

Her children are all adults, and thankfully, none of them are involved in criminal activity. Their parents kept them away from their father’s business. Furthermore, their eldest son, Frank Lucas Jr., is an actor who has acted in films and television shows such as Night Bird and Tonight’s the Nite.

Similarly, one of her daughters operates Yellow Brick Roads, a non-profit organization that cares for children whose parents are imprisoned.

In 2010, she was arrested for attempting to sell 2 kg of cocaine.

Julianna became involved in drug dealing after meeting her now-deceased husband Frank. She has also done time in prison for the same reason several times. Her most recent arrest occurred in 2010, when she was apprehended by authorities for selling 2 kgs of cocaine in a Puerto Rican hotel.

According to accounts, on May 19, 2010, she was in a hotel room in the Isla Verda region, attempting to sell the medication she was carrying. However, she was apprehended immediately by Drug Enforcement Administration agents. It was later discovered that she had been under investigation by federal officials in New York since February 2009. She was sentenced to prison in February 2012 for her crime.

Aside from that, she has been arrested multiple times, notably in 1975. She was apprehended with nearly $500,000 at the time after a police raid in her New Jersey home. According to reports, Frank controlled the money, which resulted in Lucas receiving a 40-year prison sentence, while Julianna received a 5-year sentence.

Julianna enjoyed splurging on luxuries.

We may suppose that Julianna and her husband enjoyed to spend their money on any luxury they desired. Aside from buying luxury cars and spending money at nightclubs, the duo also had a penchant for super-expensive clothing.

Farrait spotted drug lords wearing luxurious fur while watching a Muhammad Ali boxing fight in 1970. Julianna responded by giving Frank a chinchilla coat and matching cap. The most noteworthy aspect is that the coat was valued at $100,000, while the hat was valued at roughly $25,000.

The 2007 film “American Gangster” is based on her and Frank’s experiences.

One advantage of being a drug boss is that you may be the subject of a biography. That was certainly the case for her and her spouse.

Their story was told in the 2007 crime drama film American Gangster by Universal Pictures. Denzel Washington, the great actor, played the role of Lucas. Julianna was also portrayed as Eve, Miss Puerto Rico. She later denied being one, however.

What became of Julianna Farrait? What happened to her?

She was sentenced to five years in jail in 2012 for violating narcotics prohibition. According to that, she was released from prison in 2017. She has not made any public appearances since her release, though.

She appears to be leading a fully private life away from the media spotlight. It’s also possible that she’s given up on a career in crime. Hopefully, she and her children are living a good life.

Julianna Farrait’s Net Worth

Farrait and her late spouse earned roughly $1 million per day at the height of their illicit activities. But how much money does she have now? There is no specific figure for her net worth at the moment, although she and Lucas were formerly valued roughly $53 million.
