Juanita Dorricott is the wife of Bob Seger, an American singer, songwriter, and musician. The pair has been married for nearly three decades, raising two children in the meanwhile.

It’s been a while since Dorricott’s husband, Seger, decided to call it quits on his touring career. Although Juanita was not the first person Bob walked down the aisle with, she proved to be the “this is it” moment for the former psychedelic vocalist.

So, how did the pair turn a chance meeting into a delightful ride that has been sailing ever so smoothly? Know all of this, as well as some facts about Bob Seger’s third wife, Juanita Dorricott.

Juanita Dorricott was born in Ohio.

Dorricott was born in the early 1960s. Nita is another nickname for her.

The youngest of five children, Bob Seger’s blue-eyed blonde-haired wife was born in Kent, Ohio, but moved to Troy, Michigan when she was ten years old.

Dorricott once stated that her siblings began living across the country as adults, and that every summer they all meet on Mackinac Island.

“I love coming from a big family and am glad that my kids are close to their cousins,” she says.

stated Bob’s 28-year-old wife.

Juanita Dorricott, how old is she?

She will be 59 years old in 2023.

Juanita Dorricott and Bob Seger have been married since 1990.

Dorricott married Seger on July 10, 1993, in a small private ceremony at The Village Club in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Nita is 19 years younger than her singer spouse.

They have a boy named Cole (born in 1992) and a daughter named Samantha Char (born in 1995).

Juanita apparently began dating the Detroit-born rock legend in January 1991.

Seger dedicated one of his songs, “You Take Me In,” to his longterm companion, Dorricott, which she only discovered after the album’s publication. In reality, the singer claimed that he had concealed the news from her for three years. Another song dedicated to his wife by the musician is “You Take Me In.” Furthermore, “Are You” was inspired by an occasion in which Nita was searching for children’s shoes on the Internet.

The blonde mother of two lives in Orchard Lake Village in West Bloomfield, Michigan, with her husband. They once resided in Oakland County, Michigan.

Prior to marrying Dorricott, Seger was married to Renee Andrietti. They married in 1968, but their marriage only lasted “one day short of a year.” From 1972 through 1983, Juanita’s husband was in a long-term relationship with Jan Dinsdale. He then married actress Annette Sinclair in 1987, but the couple split a year later.

Before meeting Bob Seger, Juanita Dorricott was in another relationship.

Juanita, from Ohio, and Bob first met in 1990 at the defunct Juke Box in Royal Oak.

Cole and Samantha’s mother disclosed to My Digital in September 2019 that she met Bob through a common friend but was engaged to someone else at the time.

Dorricott claimed that she was naive at the time and not the star-struck sort, so she didn’t recognize who he was at the time. She did, however, recall Bob telling her a joke about country singers.

Juanita eventually called off her engagement, and Bob stepped in. After a while, they became friends, fell in love, and are now celebrating the 29th anniversary of their wedding.

Nita claims she still has the napkin on which she scribbled her phone number.

Bob Seger, Juanita Dorricot’s Rockstar Husband, in Brief

As previously stated, Dorricott’s longstanding singing partner, Seger, is a hard rock performer who rose to national prominence with the album Live Bullet (1976), which went on to sell multiplatinum. With the release of his studio album Night Moves in 1976, Bob became a national breakout performer.

Bob’s career began in the 1960s and has spanned six decades, selling over 75 million records worldwide, making Nita’s husband one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time. In 2004, he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2012, he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. At the 12th annual Billboard Touring Conference & Awards, the father of Dorricott’s two children was named Billboard’s 2015 Legend of Live honoree.

Bob & the Silver Bullet Band (established by Seger in 1974) received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in March 1987 for their services to the music industry.

Is Juanita Dorricott’s Husband Still Making Music?

Bob Seger announced his final tour, the Travelin’ Man, in September 2018. Seger also indicated at the time that, while he may continue to record, Travelin’ Man marked the end of his touring career.

Furthermore, Nita’s husband confirmed that his career would finish in June 2021, the same month he lost his close friend and saxophonist Alto Reed.

Following the death of a friend, an emotional Seger stated that he cannot envisage returning to the concert circuit.

Dorricot’s Son Is a Director

Christopher Cole Seger, Dorricott and Seger’s first child, is an award-winning film director and screenwriter who works at NRM Streamcast and Ten6ths Productions. He has a passion for storytelling since he was a child. Cole attended both Oakland University and Oakland Community College to study English Literature.

Dorricott and Bob’s only kid worked briefly at the Oakland Press and in other retail occupations. He then studied filmmaking at the Motion Picture Institute of Michigan. Cole won “Best Short Film Screenplay” for his thesis picture, “Carrying The Weight.”

Samantha, Nita and Bob’s daughter, attended Oakland University.

Juanita was previously married to a member of the Navy.

Dorricott was previously the wife of the late US Navy Admiral Jack W. Dorricott. Jack, her ex-husband, died of Alzheimer’s disease on August 4, 2014. Dorricott’s ex-husband grew up in Akron and went to the College of Wooster, UCLA, and Kent State. Juanita’s late ex spouse was also a law professor who earned his doctorate while teaching at Kent State.

It’s unclear what prompted Dorricott to divorce her ex-husband, Jack.

Juanita’s Wife Bob is wealthy.

Dorricott’s Grammy-winning heartland rock husband, Bob Seger, reportedly has a net worth of more than $60 million from a career spanning nearly six decades. And, given the hundreds of tours, multiplatinum records, and dozens of albums, this should come as no surprise.

On Laplaya Lane in West Bloomfield, Michigan, he also owns a 30,000-square-foot mega-mansion.

Seger’s wife, Juanita’s net worth, on the other hand, is a whole different ballgame of hypothesis and theory, especially when it comes to calculating her riches.
