Usher, the extraordinarily talented son of Jonetta Patton, is her best-known child. Popstar, who has won eight Grammy Awards, is among the best-selling R&B artists.

She established a name for herself with songs like Rhythm City Volume One, Caught Up, Usher: Evolution 8701, live in concert, and behind every guy in addition to becoming a mother. She spent a long time managing her son.

When she was nineteen years old, she got married to Usher Raymond III, the love of her life. They had a deep, abiding affection for one another.

Her mother discouraged them and warned her repeatedly, but she disobeyed her and was married in 1976. They had wonderful experiences for a long time. She was aware of Raymond III’s alcoholism before to their marriage, but she was unaware that it may harm their marriage. She left him because of his hostile behavior and drug use.

When her son was a year old, Jonetta divorced her first husband. She and her mother and son moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee.

She started working at Blue Cross Blue Shield before relocating to her apartment. When she was 23 years old, her high school sweetheart Terry Patton reintroduced her to love. In a small wedding ceremony, she wed him.

She said that her second husband had not been abusive. Her husband’s tendency to be a mama’s boy caused their first arguments. She struggled to deal with him as a result, and they eventually got divorced.

Usher, a child with Usher Raymond III, and James Lackey, a child with Terry Patton, are Jonetta’s only children. After her second marriage ended in divorce, she became a single mother and devoted all of her time to raising her kids.

Her son Usher previously wed a stylist named Tameka Foster in 2007. Usher “Cinco” Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond, two of Foster’s five children, are his biological offspring.

In 2009, the couple’s divorce was finally finalized. He received primary custody of his two boys in 2012. He married Grace Miguel, his longtime companion, in 2015, but the union disintegrated in 2018. In 2020, he and his partner, music executive Jenn Goicoechea, had a daughter as their third child.

Gross Value

The management of her son’s musical career has fallen to Jonetta Patton. She successfully built the facilities for her music company over a three-decade period.

At the same facility, J’s Kitchen Culinary Incubator opened its doors in 2016. By putting the business principles she learned while working as a manager into practice, she transformed herself into an entrepreneur.

She has made a good livelihood, yet it is uncertain what her exact net worth is. The woman who sacrificed everything for her son’s musical career is she. She contributed to her son becoming a multimillionaire. He has established careers in business, acting, and film production in addition to music.
