Jenny Appleford has endured many cancer treatments with great fortitude. After the harsh triple medication/chemo treatment decreased the cancer, a maintenance dosage caused progression and pleural effusion.

She persevered and entered a clinical study for an oral targeted medication for her EGFR Exon 20 gene mutation, improving her quality of life. Unfortunately, her tests indicated cancer progression in May 2023, ending the trial treatment. Jenny stays strong as her oncology team starts her on an FDA-approved target medication for her gene mutation despite new brain lesions.
