Rajiv Surendra, a Canadian actor, is a gifted performer with indisputably good looks. He became well-known for his roles in the teen comedy ‘Mean Girls,’ as well as his remembered pioneering performance in ‘Life of Pi.’

Rajiv’s worldwide notoriety through such projects continues to pique people’s interest in his life. Some have speculated if he is gay, while others want to know if he has a companion or significant other.

So, what is the truth?

Is Rajiv Surendra a gay man?

Surendra may have starred in fewer projects over the years, but public interest in his personal life does not appear to have waned. The ‘Life of PPiactor’s personal life is difficult to decipher because he hasn’t made any headlines regarding his concerns.

But, based on what we know, the actor is gay. Yes, Rajiv is openly gay, and he is vocal about it. The Canadian actor was born in Toronto, Ontario, and is currently in his late thirties. Surendra, on the other hand, has only recently come out to the public.

This attractive actor is also a writer and painter whose parents were immigrants, and he has only spent two weeks of his life in Sri Lanka.

While being honest about his sexuality has given Rajiv more closure and helped him feel freer, he still wonders what his career and life would be like if he had never come out.

Surendra’s mother has been his greatest support throughout his life, while his father is no longer a part of his life. He described how his mother was no longer subjected to “abuse” and could make her own decisions. Rajiv felt the same way.

But he still believes that if he had been an openly gay actor during his ‘Life of Pi casting days, he would not have been selected for the role.

Rajiv has stated that if he was not honest with himself, he could be living in a New York apartment waiting for his next assignment. However, it would have had an impact on his character and actual growth.

He revealed,

I could be in an apartment in New York waiting for my next role, yet be closedted, worried that if I were publicly gay, I wouldn’t get another.
It’s a little frightening to think that I might have accomplished something physical, but I’m not sure how that would have changed my character or genuine growth.

Rajiv’s Instagram now features his lifestyle, as well as his ripped muscles, which he proudly flaunts at times. Surendra is content with his life right now, and with a sizable social media following, he uses the platform to share his adventures and whereabouts with his fans.

Interestingly, according to a Buzz Feed survey, all of the boys from ‘Mean Girls’ have now come out as gay.

The classic show ‘Mean Girls has become a pop culture phenomenon, inspiring innumerable memes, unforgettable exchanges, and sentimental moments on the internet.

While the plot was largely centered on “mean girls,” there were major male characters who added to the plot. All of the big lead actors have now come out as gay.

Good on them, and more power to them.

We don’t know if Rajiv Surendra has a boyfriend or is currently seeing someone, but he doesn’t have a wife (which piqued many people’s interest).
