Luis Miguel Is He Ill? As the Mexican artist starts a new tour, worries about his health and well-being persist.

Known as “El Sol de Mexico,” Luis Miguel Gallego Basteri is a Mexican singer who was born in Puerto Rico and has sold over 60 million records worldwide.

In 1982, he began his career at the age of 11, and at the age of 14, he became the youngest male performer to win a Grammy. The vocalist performs pop, ballads, mariachi, bolero, and other genres.

He was the best-selling Latin performer of the 1990s and popularized bolero music, even though he never made it into English pop.

Miguel has been making records for more than 30 years, making him one of the most successful Latin musicians.

Recognized for his mesmerizing live performances, the record-maker is the one with the most consecutive and total concerts performed at Mexico’s Auditorio Nacional.

Is Luis Miguel Sick In 2023?

The well-known pop artist from Mexico recently talked about his continuous health problems.

He has been unexpectedly disappearing from the public glare and canceling events for years due to rumors about his health.

The musician disclosed that he had a persistent buzzing in his ears, known as tinnitus. He thinks this evolved from his decades-long profession in music, where he was constantly exposed to loud music, loud venues, and high decibel levels.

Approximately 10–17% of people worldwide are thought to be affected with tinnitus at this time. It can have a major effect on day-to-day activities and life quality.

Miguel explained that he had to “walk away from the album, my career, and my profession” due to his tinnitus, calling it “a complicated situation.”

He is hopeful that he will make a “nearly miraculous” recovery and be able to overcome this disease, nevertheless, with the right care and support.

Luis Miguel Illness 2023

Citing health concerns, the record producer abruptly called off numerous shows in Mexico City towards the end of 2015.

At first, his delegates chalked it up to a viral throat illness. But it didn’t take long to determine that his battle with tinnitus was the real reason.

Due to a legal issue involving charges of breach of contract with his former tour agent, the singer’s hearing impairment came to light.

According to court records, Miguel missed a hearing in order to receive tinnitus therapy.

In addition to tinnitus, he has experienced various medical conditions, such as vocal cord disorders. He had surgery in New York in 2019 to address his throat problems.

The producer has continued to perform in spite of his condition. However, fans have been disappointed by the erratic cancellations of his concerts due to his illness.

His condition is still critical, and he needs continuous care as well as vocal rest to get better.

Luis Miguel Health Update 2023

Luis’s first performances in four years began with a much-awaited concert tour around Argentina and abroad at the beginning of 2023. His reappearance was interpreted as a sign of increasing health.

The singer seemed upbeat and joyful at a recent performance in Buenos Aires.

He played a set list that included 50 songs from his whole discography. Highlights included listening to old recordings of “duets” between Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra.

More than 65 performances across Latin America, Mexico, the US, and Spain in 2024 are scheduled for the 2023 tour. The only reason this demanding schedule is feasible is because of Miguel’s health.

The legendary singer, who is currently in his early 50s, seemed determined to get well and reunite with his admirers all over the world.

However, given the severity of his hearing impairment, it’s still unknown when he’ll entirely recover. As the record producer fights a disease and returns to performing live, fans keep hoping for the best for him.
