James Chambers, a former construction worker at the Fort Bragg military facility, was killed by Howard Ashleman. Howard shared a Main Street residence in Wade with an elderly couple, whereas James and his companion Brandi rented an apartment in Fayetteville.

Several colleagues observed the two men’s escalating tensions. His last known sighting of him occurred on August 15, 2014, shortly before he departed for a weekend assignment with Howard.

On Monday, however, concerns were raised when James failed to return and failed to appear for work. His parents were alerted to his disappearance by his concerned fiancée, who subsequently notified the police.

Age of Howard Ashleman: What is his age?

Howard Ashleman, who was born in 2004, is currently 20 years old in 2024. Late in February 2018, Howard entered a guilty plea for second-degree homicide, thereby confessing his guilt.

He was sentenced to a minimum of 15 years and 6 months and a maximum of 19 years and 8 months, in addition to an additional six months for his failure to appear in court as agreed.

Currently 20 years old, Howard is incarcerated in a Columbus, North Carolina, correctional facility, where he is serving his sentence. The date on which he will become parole-eligible is August 7, 2033.

Is Howard Ashleman Married? Wife Hannah Jones

In the vicinity of James’ disappearance, Howard encountered Hannah Jones, an individual who would subsequently enter into matrimony with Unbeknownstnownst to HoHannah ward, who would assume a crucial role in exposement of his nefarious activities. She began collaborating closely with the police, who requested that she coerce Howard into confessing.

Hannah confronted her husband and recorded him covertly confessing to the homicide of James Chambers.

With complete confidence in his spouse, Howard candidly disclosed the intricacies of his criminal activities. He detailed how he tricked James into a secluded lake, where he subsequently murdered him. Even more so, Howard consented to sign a formal confession at the Fayetteville police station to be truthful with Hannah.

Hannah’s cooperation and manipulation of her spouse ultimately resulted in the collection of evidence necessary to indict and prosecute Howard Ashleman for the homicide of his former colleague.

Through her ability to establish rapport with Howard and inspire confidence in him, Hannah played a crucial role in extracting the murderer’s comprehensive, documented confession of culpability.

Regarding Howard and whether or not he is married to Hannah Jones at this time, little is known because the authorities have not disclosed many details about his private life.

Child of Howard Ashleman

At this time, Howard Ashleman, who is 20 years old, and Hannah Ashleman, who is 18, are not the parents of any children.

The precise condition of their matrimonial union has remained ambiguous ever since Howard’s incarceration. Two days before his December 2017 arrest for the murder of James Chambers, Howard and Hannah entered into an unexpected matrimonial union.

Hannah was scarcely of marriageable age. Prosecutors postulated that their hasty matrimonial union may have been a legal maneuver to evade the obligation of Hannah to provide testimony against Howard in the murder investigation.

She would be entitled to conjugal privileges as his spouse and could decline to testify against him.

Hannah, on the contrary, disregarded these anticipations and actively participated in the investigation, even going so far as to covertly document Howard’s confession.

Having obtained this incriminating evidence, it is probable that prosecutors no longer required Hannah’s courtroom testimony to establish guilt for her husband.

Howard’s ephemeral matrimonial union with Hannah Jones ultimately demonstrated its ineffectiveness as a protective barrier against repercussions.

It remains to be seen whether the adolescent newlyweds will maintain their commitment and bond during Howard’s protracted prison sentence.
