Emily Austin is an independent NBA broadcaster, model, actress, and social media influencer of international renown. The native of the United States served as a juror for the Miss Universe 2022 competition.

Recently, the former Miss Universe judge has generated considerable attention due to her critique of the Miss Universe organization’s decision to permit transgender contestants.

Emily Austin’s gender identity, meanwhile, has generated considerable concern. More information is provided below.

Emily Austin, is she transgender? The Disclosure of Gender Identity

Emily Austin does not identify as transgender. She was raised on Long Island and was born to Israeli parents as a cisgender woman.

The journalist served as a juror for the Miss Universe 2022 competition, which was under the ownership of Anne Jakrajutatip, a Thai transgender woman and billionaire.

In addition, Austin recently voiced her disapproval of the Miss Universe organization’s acceptance of transgender contestants.

In the presence of a transgender proprietor, the journalist contended that advocating for “women’s return to power” was “immoral” and “an oxymoron.”

The former beauty pageant judge has been in the news since her remark. Transgender women’s participation in beauty pageants is an issue that generates intense debate.

Subsequently, certain individuals seem perplexed and conclude that Emily Austin is a transgender woman. However, this is false. Her gender identity is cisgender.

Emily Austin: Trans Women Should Not Be Allowed in Miss Universe

Emily Austin has garnered significant media attention after her public critique of the Miss Universe organization’s acceptance of transgender contestants, as previously stated.

It is “immoral” and “an oxymoron,” in the opinion of the former Miss Universe judge, to advocate for “restoring power to women” while employing a transgender proprietor at the organization.

The American journalist’s remark provoked widespread indignation and backlash online, as it was deemed transphobic, insensitive, and ignorant by many.

Amid recent developments within the organization, the 2022 Miss Universe judge provided insights during a recent appearance on the Fox Business Varney & Co. talk program.

In 2022, Anne Jakrajutatip, a Thai media magnate, tycoon, and transgender woman, paid IMG Media $20 million for the rights to Miss Universe, Miss USA, and Miss Teen USA.

Austin lamented the fact that Jakrajutatip’s organization is encountering financial difficulties and criticized the action on social and ethical grounds, adding that more and more individuals are becoming cognizant of these issues.

The inclusion of two transgender contestants, Miss Portugal and Miss Netherlands, at this year’s pageant is historic.

However, the journalist expressed a firm stance against the participation of trans women in beauty pageants during the interview, contending that it runs counter to the principles of empowering women.

Emily placed significant emphasis on her conviction that permitting individuals who have undergone gender transition from male to female to work in these sectors undermines the fundamental principle of empowering women.

Furthermore, she emphasized the significance of the interview conducted for each Miss Universe contestant, implying that the life experiences of a transgender woman might differ from those of a biological woman.

Austin voiced doubt regarding the “feminine story” associated with males who underwent transition, providing instances such as performing a stage performance or avoiding menstrual cramps as defining characteristics of femininity.

Emily Austin was an ardent supporter of preserving boundaries in the realm of women’s industries; she strongly discouraged transgender people from entering these spheres.
