Hazel Gordy is a real estate agent best known as the daughter of legendary music mogul Berry Gordy Jr. and the ex-wife of Jermaine Jackson, a former member of the musical band the Jackson Five.

Gordy, who is now in her late 60s, was the first woman to walk down the aisle with Michael Jackson’s elder brother, Jermaine Jackson.

Hazel Gordy, Jermaine Jackson’s ex-wife, was born in Michigan: Her Parents and Age

Gordy was born on August 24, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan, into the Motown tradition. Gordy will be 68 years old in 2023.

Berry Gordy Jr., her father, is the founder of Motown, a Universal Music Group record label that produced some of the twentieth century’s most iconic musical acts, including Steve Wonder and the Jackson 5. Thelma Louise Coleman Gordy is Hazel’s mother’s name.

The Education of Hazel Gordy’s Siblings

Hazel is the eldest of eight children. Rhonda Ross Kendrick, Rockwell, Kerry Gordy, Redfoo, Sherry Gordy are her siblings, while her biological brothers are Berry Gordy IV and Terry James Gordy.

Hazel attended Beverly Hills High School and was close with Enid Arden Span, Jackie Jackson’s ex-wife. She is also a UCLA graduate and a former social worker.

The Jackson Five’s second vocalist’s ex-wife was also an executive producer on Motown recordings. In addition, she attended the Interior Designers Guild in Los Angeles.

Relationship Between Hazel Gordy and Her Ex-Husband, Jermain Jackson

Hazel and her ex husband Jermaine married on December 15, 1973, and were married till 1988.

They didn’t have any romantic feelings when they initially saw each other, according to both Hazel and Jermain. In fact, marriage was the last thing on their minds when they first met in Detroit in 1968 during a recording session.

On Saturday, they married at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Jermaine and Gordy were both 19 years old at the time. Their wedding reportedly cost more than 200,000 dollars and was one of the largest weddings of the 1970s.

Autumn Joy Jackson, their first child, was born in July 1978. Their second child, Jay Jackson Jr, was born in January 1977, and their third child, Jaimy Jermaine Jackson, was born in March 1987.

The Cause of Hazel Gordy and Jermain’s Divorce

The marriage of Gordy and the I’ll Be There co-singer began to fall apart in 1986, when the former found her husband was cheating on her with his mistress, Margaret Maldonado.

After Jackson’s romance with Margaret Maldonado resulted in an illegitimate child, Hazel and Jackson decided to divorce.

Furthermore, according to insiders, Jackson had a year-long romance with the late Whitney Houston while still married to the Detroit-born music mogul’s daughter. Jermaine and Whitney’s affair is said to have started around 1984.

However, after a one-year relationship, the Indiana-born singer and Houston called it quits. Despite this, Joseph and Katherine’s fourth child and Berry’s eldest daughter divorced in 1988.

After the Divorce of Hazel and Jermain

Following the divorce, Hazel gained primary custody of her three children. The father of her children, after finalizing his divorce with Gordy, continued his connection with Margaret Maldonado. They would have one more child together, in addition to a kid born during an affair.

The Big Boy co-singer and Maldonado split up in 1993. Following that, he married Alejandra Genevieve Oaziaza, but divorced her in November 2004. Three years later, Hazel’s ex-husband, Jackson, married another woman, Halima Rashid.

In June 2016, Rashid filed for divorce from the Grammy nominee, citing irreconcilable differences.

What is Hazel Gordy’s current job? Her Real Estate Position

Hazel Gordy, Jermaine Jackson’s ex-wife, is now a licensed real estate agent with the Beth Styne Group.

Apparently, Hazel’s interest in real estate began with her father’s infrequent trips to see outstanding homes around the world. During her previous husband, Michael Jackson’s, worldwide musical tours, she rediscovered her fondness for architecture and citizens.

She had the opportunity to discover diverse cultures and architectural styles while visiting abroad. This, she claims, has influenced her real estate strategy to this day. Her interest in architecture and interior design prompted her to enroll at UCLA.

More on Hazel’s Experience as a Real Estate Agent

Gordy decided to do something she enjoyed outside of the entertainment industry in 1989, and she acquired her real estate license.

Hazel claims that her extensive life experience, designer’s eye, and personal network of entertainment industry connections have all contributed significantly to the success of her real estate firm. She usually works for some A-list celebrities.

Her clients frequently describe her as discreet, protective, and an out-of-the-box issue solver. She is also said to be adamant about getting her consumers the finest bargain possible.

Hazel enjoys spending time with her three adult children, grandson, and two pocket Pitbulls when she is not selling real estate.

Is Hazel Gordy remarried after her divorce?

While Jermain didn’t end his marriage adventure after splitting from Gordy, the real estate agent, for her part, didn’t reveal anything about her personal life after her split from the ABC singer. Having said that, Hazel does not appear to have remarried following her divorce from ex-husband Jermain.

In fact, even now, the former Motown heir appears uninterested in revealing what lies behind her real estate dealings. The now-67-year-old’s apparent absence on stages such as Facebook and Instagram, among others, adds to the mystery.

How wealthy is Hazel? Her monetary worth

Although it has yet to be recorded, Jermain Jackson’s first wife’s lavishness has been evident since the 1960s. In reality, Jermaine Jackson’s ex-wife was possibly the first of the purported big-name children, her father being a pioneering record-maker.

If nothing else, Berry’s multimillionaire status since the 1970s should provide some perspective on how fortunate his children, including Hazel, may have been financially.

It’s worth noting that Hazel has yet to obtain a portion of her father’s $ 400 million-plus net worth.
