RuPaul’s husband, also known as RuPaul Andre Charles, is Georges LeBar. American drag queen, actress, model, singer, composer, television personality, and author RuPaul is LeBar’s partner. RuPaul’s Drag Race is a reality competition series that Georges’ spouse has created and hosted. Rupaul has won eleven Primetime Emmy Awards for the series. With the show’s history, he is the most-awarded person of color.

RuPaul, the husband of LeBar, has had a tremendous career in entertainment, having worked on Emmy-winning reality shows, films, and music. Furthermore, for more than 20 years, he has been incredibly devoted to Georges, and LeBar has done the same for him.

Interestingly, it took them 23 years after their initial meeting to get married. How therefore did they prosper in an open relationship? What kept them attached for so long? And who was LeBar before she knew RuPaul? Learn about each of these in the article below.

Georges LeBar Comes From A Wealthy Background

On January 24, 1973, LeBar was born. He comes from a wealthy family because he received many Wyoming ranches from his American grandmother. Georges was raised in Australia’s Perth.

Wyoming is where his family is originally from. LeBar is the 40-year-old son of Paul Lester “Barney” LeBar.

He Researched Clothing

LeBar discloses on his website that he worked in the fashion and design industries after attending school in Paris, New York, and Miami.

Georges LeBar Paints and Ranches.

LeBar is a professional painter in addition to a rancher. RuPaul’s better half discovered his affinity for art after completing his degree in fashion.

In addition, he has created some exquisite paintings of his Drag Race spouse. These days, all of his paintings are about “exploring life.” Pillow Talk, Six Inches Away, Tapestry, Gossip, Sitting On A Fence, and Microwaves Of Mascara are a few of his creations.

In addition, he has published his artwork in two volumes, Pillowtalk (which is based on the lovely poems of C. M. Clark) and Six Inches Away. On his website, he describes his art by stating that his photographs are a comparison of his past and present. For Georges, “art is about exploring life.”

RuPaul And Georges LeBar First Met At A Discotheque In 1994

In 1994, while dancing at the Limelight Discotheque in New York City, rancher Georges LeBar met Rupaul. LeBar’s birthday was today.

He was moving like a crazy person on the dance floor. I had to ask her what she was going through. In addition, he is taller than me at 6’7,” so I noticed him.

RuPaul, who is 6’4″ himself, said in an interview with HuffPost how he was drawn to the 6-foot-7 LeBar the moment he saw him across the room.

Following that evening, the Drag Race legend and Georges started dating, and a week after their first encounter, RuPaul disclosed on Instagram that they were taking Elton John’s private plane from London to Düsseldorf.

In 1994, Georges LeBar and RuPaul met on the dance floor in New York City.

When Georges LeBar first encountered RuPaul, he was dancing on the dance floor in New York City. It was 1994.

It’s interesting to note that George’s birthday and their wedding anniversary fall on the same day because they were married precisely a year after meeting. When RuPaul initially met his husband, the legendary drag performer recalled him as a “great guy” who wasn’t interested in being famous. The Emmy winner added that Georges would spend much of that time on his Wyoming property.

“He is devoted to me, I am devoted to him,” declares RuPaul. And thus the tale concludes that On January 24, 2017, the rancher and Emmy winner tied the knot in a private ceremony at their house in the Los Angeles region.

The ranch owner is almost thirteen years younger than RuPaul.

Why Did It Take Them So Long To Wed? Are There Any Children Georges And RuPaul Have?

RuPaul clarified in a March 2018 interview with The Guardian that although his lifestyle doesn’t permit him to spend time with kids, “If [Georges] wanted to do it tomorrow, I would do it.”

The actor, born in San Diego, revealed that his boyfriend, Georges, adores children but lacks the time to spend with them. He also stated that he detests interacting with other parents as a reason why he is not interested in having children.

In the meantime, the Californian explained in the interview why it took him and his spouse, LeBar, so long to get married, saying,

“Traditional, that wasn’t my intention! Making the system work for us was our aim. About marriage, I couldn’t care less. What concerned me was that our assets would be safeguarded if either I or he suffered harm.

The singer of the song “Supermodel (You Better Work)” continued, saying that he loved him too much to attempt to bind him. He further disclosed that, after all those years, they were ultimately motivated to official their relationship by the outcomes of the 2016 election.

In actuality, the pair felt that marriage was necessary for financial and tax benefits.

Fracking on their ranch drew criticism from Georges LeBar and his spouse.

Host Terry Gross of NPR’s Fresh Air in 2020 questioned about LeBar and RuPaul’s Ranch. According to George’s spouse, land management is essentially what a modern ranch entails.

“You sell water to oil firms and lease the mineral rights to them. Then you lease the grazing rights to several ranchers,” the 60-year-old TV personality added.

The Glamazon singer’s comments sparked a lot of controversy as they are more widely associated with hydraulic fracturing. Furthermore, environmentalists claim that it is a contentious practice that puts the earth at unnecessary risk.

Regarding the fracking allegations, neither the Drag Queen nor his spouse Georges LeBar have responded, but one of their neighbors, Jay Butler, defended them by stating that they probably don’t have much of an option.

However, it was clarified that ranch owners could not forbid oil and gas extraction unless they owned all of the fossil fuel rights beneath their property. He claimed that every ranch in the area is connected to the oil sector in one way or another.

Georges LeBar Is Worth A Billion Dollars And Possibly Even More

LeBar owns around 66,000 acres in seven different Wyoming properties. His property spans the entire state of South Dakota due to its immense size. To say he’s just a millionaire would be an understatement in light of that.

LeBar and his well-known spouse paid approximately $13.7 million for a 110,300-square-foot Beverly Hills house in October 2019. They had previously spent about $2 million on a piece of real estate for residential use.

Environmental organizations who monitor fracking site data have shown that, on just 10,000 acres of LeBar’s ranch, there are at least 35 oil and gas wells. This finding is equally significant. Given that, it is highly probable that LeBar will join the club of three commas soon.

The rancher’s current net worth is unknown, although it could range from tens to hundreds of millions of dollars.

What Makes LeBar Not Use Social Media?

Georges is the complete antithesis of RuPaul in many aspects. LeBar is more like a regular rancher—quiet and reserved—while her famous husband is the life of the party, often drawing attention to himself.

Despite numerous requests, he has never even shown up for a public interview; he even turned down Vogue. As a result, he is also completely absent from well-known websites like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
