Evan makes his acting debut in the teen drama TV show, which debuted on HBO Max in July 2021. Joshua Safran, the show’s creator, gave Evan the role to play.

His personality and outward looks, including his distinctive pink hair, are frequently seen as signs that he is gay.

Evan spoke with Mr. Porter about what he discovered about his sexuality through his private scenes with his male co-star.

The three of Aki, his fiancée Audrey, and Max were all about the same person. Evan thought kissing a man was strange and assumed it was because of “social norms and all that.”
