The body of Samuel Michael Clemons, a native of Jefferson City, was discovered last week in a fire pit in north Columbia.

The Columbia, South Carolina, police recently detained 20-year-old Emma Adams in connection with the case of Michael Clemons.

Adams has pled not guilty to second-degree murder, tampering with physical evidence, and abandoning a body on January 13 and has neglected to show up in court since the incident.

The human bones were discovered in a firepit when authorities examined Adams’s home and backyard, according to the court filings, providing unmistakable proof of Michael Clemons’s case.

Emma Adams killed Samuel Michael Clemons, a 21-year-old student at Missouri

People were horrified when the police identified the victim as Samuel Michael Clemons. He was a former Jefferson City resident who was a 21-year-old student at MU.

Police began an inquiry when he wasn’t in his university vehicle and discovered that he had taken an Uber to his house, which is five miles from the university.

Due to the state, his corpse was recognized relatively immediately following the inquiry.

Geoff Jones, the chief of the Columbia Police Department, expressed sympathy to Clemons’ family and promised to help them in a statement.

After lengthy research and careful examination of the facts, it was determined that Emma Adams was responsible for the man’s death; she was subsequently summoned to court for further examination.

Then, after being compelled to make the arrest, she was charged with second-degree murder and abandoning a body.

What’s become of Emma Adams?

When police were investigating the case and Adams denied knowing the missing student, they began searching his home and discovered the bones in the fire pit.

She was obviously interested in Michael Clemons’s case after discovering the last Fire pit, but she steadfastly refused to get to know him.

Adams said that as the victim was hitting her, she attempted to protect herself since she didn’t know who he was.

When they located the Uber Clemons took and were directed to Ms. Adams’ home, they formally requested her permission to inspect it.

Additionally, they discovered blood on a car, the victim’s phone submerged in water, and missing materials used in the fire pit.

It was evident from the evidence that Adams was responsible for the murder of the Mizzou student. Although she said it was self-defense, the case’s motivation has not yet been determined, despite the fact that it does not seem to be so.

When Adams was called to appear in court, she refused, prompting police to make an arrest and charge Adams with second-degree murder.

She has been detained since her arrest on Wednesday and is now the subject of a police investigation; she might get up to 20 years in prison.

On February 20, 2023, Adams first heard his seduction, which may have provided further information regarding the murder and the case as a whole.

Following Clemons’ passing a week ago, several pupils have been spoken to and asked about him.

Now is a dangerous moment, according to Lea Mitchell. Another MU student, Elizabeth Beisner, concurred, saying, “It’s honestly just scary for anyone,”

“Like with the Idaho stuff, it’s just nerve-racking too, like, I don’t know, just being on the campus itself,” Beisner said.
