What is the Net Worth of Don Gummer? Salary, Earnings

Gummer has earned praise for his original work for many years. His work on free-standing sculptures mounted on walls, and placed on tables is impressive. In October 2022, his net worth was $150 million.

Quick Facts

Soul healer and soul partner

After the passing of her then-boyfriend John Cazale from lung cancer in 1978, Gummer entered Streep’s life at a time when she was emotionally spent. When Cazale passed away, Streep was evicted from the Tribeca apartment she shared with him while they were in a committed relationship.

Gummer went to help her and afterward became her soul healer because he knew Streep’s brother Harry. They corresponded via letters while Gummer was traveling abroad. Streep was first apprehensive to start a new relationship, but once Gummer got back from his trip, she decided to stick with him.

On the grounds of Streep’s parent’s home, they exchanged wedding vows six months later, on September 30, 1978. They have been together for more than 40 years, and things are still going well. They are the model for perfect soul partners.

Father of four adults, and independent children

Gummer and his wife of more than 40 years are the parents of four independent, adolescent children. While Streep was more of a tiger mom, Gummer, in Streep’s opinion, was a very involved father who was more laid back when it came to raising his children.

She also said that since her hubby did not make her feel guilty about taking several months off from work, she did not feel awful about it.

It took teamwork for them to raise their four kids and help them become independent. Their entire family works in the entertainment business. Henry Wolfe, their lone child and the family’s firstborn, is a musician.

In the year 1979, he was born. Mamie, born in 1983, and Grace, born in 1986, are two of their three daughters; Louisa, born in 1991, is their youngest child and a model. The wonderful six-person family resided in Connecticut till their four children left for college. The couple moved to New York once all four of their children had left home.

His wife believes that she is lucky to be his wife

Since the day they made their vow to always stay by one another’s sides, Gummer has remained by his loving wife Streep’s side. Streep said she was fortunate to have married a beautiful partner many years ago in an interview. She also spoke of finding the perfect man, who was confident in himself and never felt overshadowed by his celebrity friend.

According to recent comments made by Streep, she only let her husband see her screenplay if he thought it was perfect. She gave a speech in 2012 after receiving one of her Academy Awards to express her gratitude.

Meryl Streep thanked her spouse first since, according to her, thanking him later would pull him out of the song. She also wanted him to understand that he had given her the thing in their relationship that she treasured the most.

What did his girls think of their father?

In an interview, his daughter Grace praised dad as a wonderful, devoted, and encouraging father and an amazing artist. She added that sharing experiences and going to museums with him is something she appreciates.

In a similar vein, Mamie, his daughter, told Peter Travers in Popcorn Peter Travers that her father’s honesty was his best quality. She claims that he can never lie, even when they periodically want him to.
