Even though tennis legend Roger Federer declared his retirement in 2022, his ardent fans are still interested in him. This article will go over Diana Federer, Roger Federer’s sister.

Diana Federer, Roger Federer’s sister, is a proud mother of twins and works as a Registered Nurse. Roger Federer, a former professional tennis player from Switzerland, was born on August 8, 1981. Federer was the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) year-end No. 1 five times and was the world’s top singles player for 310 weeks.

This includes a record 237 consecutive weeks. With 103 singles titles, he ranks second on the ATP Tour. Like every other male Swiss citizen, Federer was required to serve in the Swiss Armed Forces. However, in 2003, he was deemed “unsuitable” and thus exempted from military service.

Later, he indicated that his release was the result of a long-standing back ailment. Federer is interested in a variety of sports, not only tennis. He attributes his superb hand-eye coordination to the many sports he participated in as a child, including basketball and badminton.

He also enjoys soccer and grew up cheering for FC Basel and the Swiss national team. Federer looks up to soccer legends such as Lionel Messi and Pele.

Diana Federer, Roger Federer’s Sister, Is the Mother of Twins

Diana Federer, Roger’s elder sister born in 1979, is his only sibling. They are about two years apart in age. Diana, like Roger, is a humanitarian, which may explain her decision to become a Registered Nurse in her own country. Diana is a proud mother of two pairs of non-identical twins, one boy and one girl.

Ramon Vincent is her son, while Emilie Zoe is her daughter. The siblings grew up in the neighboring towns of Birsfelden, Riehen, and Münchenstein, which are all near to the French and German borders.

They were able to master Swiss German, Standard German, English, and French as a result of this. Their native language, however, is still Swiss German. Diana is a huge supporter of Roger, and she frequently attends his games with her family when her demanding job as a nurse allows it.

Her Parent’s Ethnicity

Robert Federer and Lynette Federer gave birth to Roger Federer and his sister. The siblings have a diverse upbringing due to their parents. Their father is Swiss-German and is from Berneck in the canton of St. Gallen. Similarly, their mother is of African descent and is originally from Berneck in the canton of St. Gallen.

Roger Federer’s Wife  Mirka Federer Is a Former Tennis Player as Well

The tennis player is married to another tennis player, Mirka Federer. Miroslava “Mirka” Federer, formerly Miroslava Vavrinec, is a former Swiss professional tennis player. Miroslava was born in Bojnice (then Czechoslovakia) and migrated to Switzerland at the age of two.

Mirka attributes her interest in tennis to former professional tennis player Martina Navratilova. When she was nine years old, her father took her to Filderstadt, Germany, to watch tennis. Maritna suggested that Mirka try tennis since she believed she looked athletic.

Navratilova later shipped her a racquet and set up her first tennis lesson. On April 11, 2009, Roger Federer and Mirka married in front of only their closest friends and family members. The tennis couple has two sets of twin children. They had their first set of identical twin girls, Myla and Charlene, and their first set of fraternal twin boys, Leo and Lenny.
