The South Carolina Gamecocks won the first-ever NCCA Women’s Basketball National Championship in 2017 under the direction of Dawn Staley, a member of the American basketball hall of fame as a player and coach. She solidified her place in the hall of fame of basketball greats with the victory.

What is the Net Worth of Dawn Staley? Salary, Earnings

As a coach and a player, Dawn has won various accolades. She has won numerous SEC championships, including five regular-season titles and six tournament titles.

Dawn was eligible to collect $100,000 for winning the SEC regular-season and tournament crowns, $15,000 for placing in the Top 25 of the final polls, $25,000 for being voted SEC Coach of the Year, and $15,000 for winning 11 or more SEC games. She earns $300,000 annually and has amassed a $1 million net worth.

As the head coach, she is currently concentrating on her career.

Dawn Staley is she gay?

Dawn has consistently kept her romantic life private., She has not mentioned having a partner and is not married. There are rumors about living with a wife rather than a husband.

The 51-year-old former Houston Comtes guard hasn’t addressed the topic, even though she has never taken offense at being called a lesbian by her supporters.

However, there are allegations of a relationship between Dawn and Lisa Boyer.

Dawn Staley- Relationship, Married Life

Dawn has chosen to have a more passive-aggressive tone on Twitter when discussing being married and husband material since she has refrained from discussing her sexuality or her relationships in interviews.

The Philadelphian once jokingly referred to a Twitter user by the handle @ksan indiangirl as her spouse. The tweet, which was posted in 2009, reads as follows:

We can refer to @ksan indiangirl as my domestic husband if she keeps the house tidy and makes sure I’m fed. Nine years later, Dawn fired up her Twitter feed once more by digging deep into her sarcastic well and comparing her relationship with Lisa Boyer, her assistant at USC, to a married couple.

Despite being ironic, the tweet didn’t sit well with the supporters, who chose to believe it to be true. Many believed she had a wife and were married to her. Lisa’s response also led everyone to think that they might be partners.

Ironically, though, that’s Dawn—sarcastic and funny. In conclusion, the head coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks may be single right now and is unmarried. She does support the LGBTQ+ community, even though she hasn’t publicly acknowledged being a lesbian.

LGBTQ Community Acceptance: Lesbian Assistant Applauds Her For Accepting Her Partner

The LGBTQ community has accepted Dawn, who has never identified as a lesbian, with open arms. It is sufficient to remark that both parties share awe. The former WNBA legend underlined the significance of accepting the LGBTQ community in a 2014 interview with the Chicago Tribune, saying:

“You want to assist any community that accepts this league.
I believe that the WNBA will support any group that supports their league.”

Therefore, no one was surprised when Melanie Balcomb, her openly lesbian assistant at the USC, came forth with the account of how Dawn had welcomed both her partner and their children in the 2017 New York Times interview. Melanie disclosed:

“Dawn welcomed me and my family; we haven’t always been welcomed everywhere.
The experience has been incredible.

After moving to South Carolina with her parents as a child, Dawn made headlines in 2018 for a different reason. She reached a defamation settlement with Jim Strek, the director of athletics at Missouri, in February. She has been doing incredible in her work in addition to her personal life.
