Amber Tamblyn: Who Is She? The Wife of David Cross

American author and actor Amber Rose Tamblyn has worked in both fields. She first rose to national prominence at age 11 because of her role as Emily Quartermaine on the soap series General Hospital.

Tamblyn was born in Santa Monica, California. Russ Tamblyn, her father, is an actor, dancer, and singer who had appearances in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers in 1954 and West Side Story in 1961.

Her paternal grandpa Eddie Tamblyn was a vaudeville performer. Her uncle Larry Tamblyn plays keyboards for The Standells, a 1960s rock band.

One of the first things that stick out about their relationship is the fact that Cross is 19 years older than Tamblyn.

Cross said to the Huffington Post that despite only sometimes running into Tamblyn in Los Angeles and at award ceremonies, he was “slow to make any advances” because of their age difference.

After Tamblyn’s “aggressive gazing,” they finally traveled from Houston to Louisiana together and switched seats to be closer to one another. The newlyweds laughed at the airline’s catalog for the rest of the trip.

In a unique ceremony, the couple wed in October 2012. David Cross’ wife opted for a yellow gown rather than the customary white one!
