Wikipedia entry for Bulent Gurcan

Bulent Gurcan is a formidable rival in the sixth season of “Naked and Afraid XL.” The new task for the season is to “banish the weakling,” which puts the survivalists’ ability to cooperate as a team to the test. They have forty days to survive in the South African Savannah.

Although Bulent possesses the physical and mental toughness to endure in the woods, his social skills will be put to the test to avoid being banished. He has a unique viewpoint on survival because of his previous experience working as a Border Patrol Officer in Texas. With differing degrees of success, Bulent has previously made two appearances on “Naked and Afraid.”

In season 10, he made his debut alongside Cat Orza for a survival challenge in Colombia. He had a great start, but on Day 11, he fell and had to give up. In his second appearance of season 11, he teamed up with Sarah Burkett in the Mexican jungle.

Viewers are keen to find out as the game goes on whether Bulent Gurcan can live in the South African bush by himself and whether the social dynamics of the “banish the weakling” twist will be too much for him to bear.
