Brian Wilson net worth: Brian Wilson is an American musician who has a net worth of $100 million. A singer-songwriter, musician, producer, and composer, Brian Wilson is most widely recognized as a singer and the primary songwriter for The Beach Boys. He also served as the band’s manager and producer. Drug abuse and his mental health issues caused him to leave the group, but he later embarked on a solo career, and won a Grammy in 2005.

Early Life: He was born Brian Douglas Wilson on June 20, 1942, in Inglewood, California. When he was only six years old, it was discovered that he was partially deaf in his right ear, but that did not stop him from becoming one of the greatest musicians of all time.

By the time he turned nineteen, he had already recorded “Surfin”, together with his younger brothers Dennis and Carl, his cousin Mike, and a friend named Al Jardine, which became the first song from the newly formed Beach Boys. Throughout the 1960s, he continued to pen classic Beach Boys hits like “Help Me, Rhonda”, “I Get Around” and “Good Vibrations”. In 1962, The Beach Boys released their debut album, ‘Surfin’ Safari’ via Capitol Records. After the release of two more albums, Wilson became the band’s producer and The Beach Boys released seven albums in quick succession. In 1964 Brian decided to retire from touring with The Beach Boys and fully dedicate himself to writing and producing for the group.

As a 24-year-old he wrote the legendary album ‘Pet Sounds’, with lyricist Tony Asher, that was released in 1966. Having spent a decade shrouded with excessive work, chain smoking and drug abuse, Brian Wilson started to lose his voice and withdrew from the music scene for some time. After a break, he reunited with the group to perform at Live Aid in 1985, and he also recorded the album “The Beach Boys”. Brian’s first solo effort was released in 1988. It was critically acclaimed and well received.

Personal Life: Brian Wilson was married to Marilyn Rovell, from 1964 to the 1979. They had two daughters, Carnie and Wendy. In 1995, he married Melinda Kae Ledbetter, and they adopted five children: two girls, Daria Rose and Delanie Rae, in 1998; a boy, Dylan, in 2004; a boy, Dash Tristan, in 2009; and a girl, Dakota Rose, in 2010.

Wilson suffers from auditory hallucinations and has been formally diagnosed as mildly manic-depressive with schizoaffective disorder that presents itself in the form of disembodied voices. In recent years, Wilson’s mental condition has improved. Although he still experiences auditory hallucinations from time to time, his relationship with his wife and his new regimen of psychiatric care have allowed him to resume his career as a musician.
