On Thursday, Farmington resident Stephanie Melgoza, 24, was found guilty of causing the deaths of Andrea Rosewicz and Paul Prowant and was sentenced to 14 years in jail. Prowant was from Seattle, while Rosewicz was from Avon, Ohio. In February, Melgoza pleaded guilty to four serious counts of aggravated DUI and dangerous driving. Four lower counts were dismissed earlier this year as part of a plea agreement.

Melgoza, a Bradley University student at the time of the event, was discovered to be driving while intoxicated and had a blood alcohol level that was three times the legal limit. She failed every field sobriety test and confessed to carrying marijuana, three vodka cocktails, and water in her handbag.

Before being arrested, was Stephanie Melgoza pregnant? The viral hospital video

There is no information available on Stephanie’s pregnancy. However, some unapproved images and videos of her in the hospital have been making the rounds online and have gained a lot of popularity. She is shown on camera acting disrespectfully and improperly toward a nearby police officer.

To obtain medical attention for her wounds, Melgoza was rushed to the hospital. She started singing to the officer present because she thought it was too quiet. When the police informed her that she had murdered two people, Melogoza inquired when she could go back to Bradley University while also expressing her intention to do so.

Given the seriousness of the allegations against her, the officer sternly said that she would not be going back to school any time soon. After her DUI accident, Melgoza received criticism from her peers and was denied the opportunity to walk at her graduation. However, she did get her diploma.

She was recently given a 14-year jail term after entering a plea guilty to four crimes, including two charges of aggravated DUI death. She expressed sorrow for her behavior at the sentence hearing while crying.

The family of Stephanie Melgoza receives negative remarks

The body camera film showing Stephanie O’Brian smiling after hitting Paul Prowant, 55, and Andrea Rosewicz, 43, that was made public earlier this week sparked a wave of hostile comments online, according to Stephanie’s father, Patrick O’Brian. After his daughter’s body camera film went viral, Stephanie Melgoza’s father, Patrick O’Brian, made a plea to internet bullies to stop tormenting his family.

In the video, Stephanie can be seen giggling after she struck two individuals tragically while intoxicated outside an East Peoria club. O’Brian said on Facebook that his family is sorry for what their daughter did and that they are grieving alongside the relatives of the victims.

Patrick O’Brian, whose daughter was given a 14-year jail term, has expressed his sincere regret for what she did and said that his family is already bearing the cost of the act.

He has denounced the harassment’s “cowards” and begged them to stop smearing his family’s reputation. While the rest of his family did nothing, he admitted that his daughter had committed a terrible crime and would have to pay the price for it for the next 14 years.
