In this example, people mistakenly believe that Henry Cavill and Matt Bomer are distant relatives or even siblings because of how similar they appear to be.

Everyone probably has a double, and it’s not just regular folks that run across their twin. Also done by celebrities. Because so many famous people look the same, people frequently wonder if they are related.

Both are strikingly similar in terms of their blue eyes, low brows, and sculpted faces. Cavill, though, has an advantage over Bomer of at least a foot and 75 pounds and is six years younger.

Additionally, neither of the twin actors is linked to the other. Along with his four brothers, Cavill was raised in Jersey, England, by parents Marianne and Colin Cavill.

Bomer’s parents, John O’Neill and Elizabeth Macy gave birth to him in Missouri. They can be distinguished from one another by their various well-known initiatives in addition to their varied upbringings.

Bomer gained notoriety as a result of his performance on American Horror Story, whilst Cavill attracted a sizable following as DC’s Superman.

Both Matt Bomer and Henry Cavill are seen to be Superman material

Coincidentally, Cavill wasn’t the only candidate who was taken into consideration for the role of the superhero with the red cap. Bomer was considered for the role of Superman before being cast in 2013’s Man of Steel Dawn of Justice.

The American Horror Story actor said he had been considered for a J.J. Abrams and Brett Ratner-directed Superman movie that never materialized in an interview with the podcast Happy, Sad, Confused in 2015.

“Amy Adams, who was wearing tights, and I had a screen test. Paul Walker, myself, and another individual who I can’t recall were present during that session, I believe. I’m happy [Ratner] picked me for the task. Getting the job included a pretty drawn-out process. The actor guessed that it had been three months.

But later, the endeavor was abandoned. Bomer stated that he believed it would happen for a month, but it never did. The actor, though, has no remorse about it.

He justified this by saying that playing Superman would have overshadowed all of his other work and typecast him because he had been given such a diverse range of parts.

Henry Cavill and Matt Bomer on Resembling Each Other

It is not just the fans who are aware of their uncanny similarities. The actors are aware of the ease with which fans have conflated the two. Cavill discussed in an interview how people kept requesting him to sign a certain image of Bomer.

People want me to continue signing a certain Matt Bomer photo, in particular. He is half-submerged and lying on his side in the water. I keep getting that in the mail and telling them, “I would love to sign this for you, but that is not me.” Certain parallels in facial structure exist, according to Cavill.

Bomer also discussed the similarities while participating in Ellen DeGeneres’ Internet Booth of Wonders. Cavill’s appearance as his twin was not a surprise to him.

That was something I was aware of. A given was that. In any case, I wish that was how I looked. Bomer apologized for bringing down Henry Cavill’s reputation.
